Job Description

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 

The successful candidate will be expected to handle the following:

  • Analyse ESG data and provide critical insights.
  • Track and review ESG performance against pre-determined baseline and targets at all business levels.
  • Review C-BRTA ESG Strategy against the relevant areas.
  • Analyse specific environmental data and develop projects to drive environmental impact improvements.
  • Embedding a Sustainability culture across C-BRTA operations and industry.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Creative problem-solving.
  • Effective communication.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to build Inter-relationship between the Agency and external stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of how environmental concerns relate to material business risks and opportunities.
  • Knowledgeable of the Transport sector.
Job Requirements

Formal Qualifications:

  • Degree or NQ level 7 qualification in Environmental Management / Environmental Science / Environmental Law or related discipline

Experience:

  • Three (3) years’ experience as Environment specialist.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a business sustainability and ESG environment.
  • Knowledge of the transport industry will be an added advantage.

Employer offers an all-inclusive remuneration package of R 1 117 370 p.a.

The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency

The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) exists to improve the cross-border flow of commuters and freight operators who make use of road transport.

Its function as an interstate operations agency is to reduce mobility constraints for road transport operators, in the form of regulating market access and issuing cross-border permits, while facilitating sustainable social and economic development in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.
