Job Description:

As Operator Gr2 (Processing)you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Safety, Health, and Environment

  • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and maintained according to safety regulations.
  • Follow SHE standards when performing any work and read, sign off and adhere to all appropriate work instructions and standards.
  • Attend safety meetings as instructed and keep the allocated area clean and hazard-free by applying good housekeeping practices.
  • Always correctly apply HIRA/Mini HIRA and report safety and health-related issues.
  • Ensure that work practices do not harm others and take all necessary safety precautions when working on production equipment.
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives and continuously promote good housekeeping by adhering to all safety and health standards.
  • Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments, and closed-out of Safety Actions.

Performance and Delivery

Cleaning the Work Area:

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards by keeping the work area clean and organised.
  • Use appropriate tools and materials to clean equipment thoroughly.
  • Ensure that cleaning activities are performed beyond the allocated area, as required.
  • Clean safety signs and equipment regularly to ensure they are visible, legible, and fit for use.
  • Collect spillage material, sort it, and dump it at designated areas to prevent contamination and pollution.
  • Store tools not used in designated places and keep them clean.
  • Clean equipment and associated components continuously per work instructions to maintain optimal performance.
  • Restore the work area to its original state by cleaning it before leaving.

Assistance:

  • Assist the supervisor and co-workers.
  • Assist in the absence of the responsible person.
  • Assist within your level and area of competence.
  • Assist in alignment with KIO policies, procedures, and guidelines.

This role is in the Processing (PRO) at a Grade P6 level reporting to the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/N3
  • National Certificate Mineral Processing Level 2
  • SA Drivers License

Experience

  • 2 Years’ operational experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of Plant processes.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and cleaning processes and standards.

The Facilities Section Manager DBM Gardens is responsible for the management of DBM Gardens that are leased by the company that support the core business of DBM and to ensure that the company function effectively and efficiently. The manager will provide a single point of entry for the co-ordination of all services relating to the efficient and effective running of DBM Gardens, develop and maintain the facilities management plan, provide solutions, manage sustainability issues at the same time reducing the impact on Safety, Environment, Health and Security.

  • Compare the work done towards the end of the project with the contract requirements and specifications.
  • Consolidate the budget at the end of a project and notify the Financial Department of any unspent funds.

This role is in the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) at a Band 7 level reporting to the Section Manager Environmental.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Higher National qualification in Environmental Sciences /Environmental Management on NQF5.
  • ISO14001:2015 and Environmental Laws for Managers’ Certificates (advantageous)
  • Registration with SACNASP South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (advantageous)

This role can be based in Chile (Santiago), Peru (Lima) or Brazil (Belo Horizonte) .There will be frequent travel required for this role.

  • Based on the Anglo Operating Model (AOM), define the detail requirements for maintenance planners and schedulers.

Qualifications:

Formal Qualifications

Technical skills / knowledge requirements:

  • 10 – 15 years’ experience as a Planner / Scheduler at site level 5 of which should have been at the Superintendent Planning level.

  • Monitor the asset performance of process plant and understand the key reasons for underperformance

  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirement
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
