SENIOR MANAGER KEY ACCOUNTS
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to Senior Manager: Business Development, the incumbent will:
- Develop account plans for assigned portfolios.
- Strategic sales management by driving sales growth.
- Implementation of sales strategy.
- Lead internal engagements for translation of customer needs.
- Foster and manage multi-stakeholder complex relationships and project manage internal stakeholders.
- Manage revenue generation processes.
- Prepare and present targeted proposals.
- Retention of existing customers.
- Ensure that pricing approval processes are adhered to.
- Execution of complex tender proposals.
- Ensure that all legal required documents are submitted by customers.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder.
- Management for revenue generation.
- Liaise with billing and admiration on verification of invoices and collection of outstanding monies.
- Submission of all relevant documents to trigger billing.
- Monitor and track client performance and report accordingly.
- Provide inputs and present to cross functional forums.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Commerce or Business Management.
- Minimum 6 years sales experience with at least 3 years in dealing with complex accounts where there are multiple role players within the account as well in the field of Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years Telecommunications related experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working with submarine cable landing system (e.g WACS – West Africa Cable System)
- Proven customer service affinity.

TECHNICIAN (DURBAN)
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supervisor: Operations and Maintenance, the incumbent will:
- Be required to engage in the processes of operating and maintaining the network
infrastructure in terms of uptime, reliability and sustainability. - Execute regional Preventative Routine and Planned Maintenance plans.
- Installation, commissioning and adherence to quality standard and compliance of newly
installed equipment and outdoor infrastructure to all Broadband Infraco standards and
specifications. - Must have in depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of optical
fibre, transmission equipment, AC/DC power systems, air conditioning/cooling systems,
IP configuration, environmental alarms monitoring systems, advanced analytical skills
for the analysis of faults, the interpretation of test results, and the provisioning of
optimum solutions. - Must be willing to work long hours.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Candidates must have BTech/BEng, S4/T3 National Diploma or N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (HC/LC) or equivalent.
- Registration with ECSA will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in network maintenance. Alternatively, previous internship with BBI will be considered.
- Have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of: Fibre optic. Transmission equipment. IP configuration. AC/DC power systems. Environmental alarm monitoring systems. Test equipment (OTDR, OLTS, etc.). Fusion splicing. Interpretation
of test results and the provision of optimum solutions. - Microsoft Office 365, strong in applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Be familiar with ITU-T Standards.
- Valid driver’s licence is a requirement.

NOC SHIFT TEAM LEADER
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supervisor: NOC, the incumbent will:
- Directly team leads the Broadband Infraco NOC shift team.
- Generate shift incident reports to be sent to the NOC Supervisor.
- Proactive surveillance of network alarms and strict adherence to Broadband Infraco fault management process.
- Liaising with Broadband Infraco Maintenance team and 3rd party service providers to ensure speedy resolution of network failures.
- Ensure proper shift handover and proper reporting of incidents.
- Act as the first contact to the NOC Supervisor/ Manager during shifts.
- Keep the customer informed as to progress on fault resolution during unplanned and planned outages.
- Ensure strict adherence to Broadband Infraco Network Operations processes to safeguard the integrity and availability of the network.
- Invoke escalation process according to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and
escalation matrix
Qualifications and Experience:
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering.
- The candidate must have equivalent skills and experience on Telecommunication Network)
- Courses in specific products e.g. SDH, DMWM
- Experience in the field (approximately 2 years) to understand the inter-connectivity of the various elements of network in the physical layer.
- Ability to explain to Technicians on site required actions and identifications of components at a detailed level.
- Experience in using diagnosed software and understands the IP Network.
