MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To support the organisation’s strategic growth, innovation, and business development agenda by identifying and evaluating business development opportunities, managing development initiatives across service, product, channel, and platform streams, and enabling the successful commercialisation of new offerings. This includes the end-to-end lifecycle of opportunity identification, scoping, solution design, and implementation. strategy, the latter of which is to be delivery enabled and progress tracked.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Solution development and execution: Support the development and iterative execution of new products and services. Collaborate in cross-functional teams using agile and human-centred design principles to transform validated ideas into commercialised healthcare solutions.

Stakeholder engagement: Foster and manage effective relationships and alignment with internal teams and external partners to co-create, validate, and implement business development and innovation initiatives.

Market intelligence & environmental scanning: Conduct comprehensive market and competitor scanning to identify emerging trends, shifts in patient and consumer needs, and competitor activities. Use insights to inform opportunity identification, innovation and business development direction, and strategy alignment within the private healthcare sector.  Evaluate and prioritise business development opportunities by assessing strategic fit, commercial viability, and implementation feasibility.

Innovation enablement: Contribute to innovation pipeline management by supporting the application of innovation frameworks, tools, and processes. Assist in piloting, testing, and refining initiatives aligned to the broader innovation roadmap.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Health Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, or related field.

DESIRED EDUCATION

  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA, Master of Public Health, Master of Healthcare Administration, or Innovation Management).

To optimise revenue by ensuring that an accurate account is generated for each patient and the patient file contains all the relevant supporting documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Accurate and timeous billing of all charted items used during the patient’s stay

Complete all patient files and ensure these contain all documents as well as a final billed account

Utilise and control applicable reports to ensure prompt finalisation and rendering of accounts

Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication with other departments
