Job Description
  • Oversee day‑to‑day HR administration, policies, and systems to ensure smooth and consistent delivery of HR services.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with labour legislation and company strategy.
  • Monitor HR metrics (turnover, headcount, absenteeism) and prepare regular management reports with actionable insights.
  • Drive process improvements and digitisation initiatives to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Employment Equity and Skills Development.
  • Lead end‑to‑end recruitment strategies for all levels, ensuring attraction of high‑calibre talent aligned with workforce plans.
  • Guide the team in interviewing, selection processes, and appointment approvals.
  • Partner with external agencies, professional networks, and educational institutions to build talent pipelines.
  • Provide expert guidance on labour law, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and workplace conflict resolution.
  • Chair or support complex investigations, hearings, and consultations, ensuring procedural and substantive fairness.
  • Build capability in line management to manage ER matters proactively and ethically.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives, anticipating and mitigating potential disputes.
  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality of all payroll transactions.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure statutory deductions, benefits administration, and reconciliations are accurate and timely.
  • Continuously review and improve payroll systems and processes, ensuring alignment with HR data management and reporting needs.
  • Resolve payroll‑related queries escalated by the HR or Finance teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert insights on people‑related strategies and risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (line managers, executives) and external stakeholders (regulators, service providers).
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to ensure alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives.

  • Prepare and present regular and ad hoc reports to senior management, highlighting insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure data integrity within HR systems and drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Use analytics to inform workforce planning and other initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
  • BCom degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related discipline (Essential);
  • Postgraduate Honours degree in HR or Business Leadership (Essential);
  • Master’s degree in HR or Business Leadership (Advantageous);
  • 10-12 years’ experience in a HR-related role, of which, 5 years must be in a management role (Essential);
  • Experience in HR systems, process automation, and data analytics (Essential);
  • Experience managing a diverse HR team across multiple functional areas (Essential);
  • Aviation experience (Advantageous);
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Human Resource procedures and relevant legislation (BCEA, EEA, Codes of Good Practices);
  • Sound knowledge of Employment laws, practices Skills Development and Employment Equity;
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (preferable Sage People 300) and Microsoft office (with exceptional skills in Excel);
  • Strong knowledge of HR technology and data analytics for tracking HR metrics.

Job Description
  • Will continuously be mentored by a Mechanical/Avionics Technician with variety of duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and require disassembly or adjustments of various aircraft Electrical systems to prepare aircraft for flight;
  • Must possess a good understanding of Equipment/Tooling/Test equipment and variety of other hand tools to assist the Mechanical/ Avionics Technician with repairing or modifying systems or assemblies;
  • Be made aware Flight Line, Short Visit Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance services activities;
  • Be part of watch and meet aircraft on taxi ramp and hangar locations including Fueling and De-fueling aircraft;
  • Will be introduced and be required to participate in the documentation and their completion;

Job Description
  • Ensure that the flight is conducted safely and efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the flight path and systems of the aircraft.
  • Perform checks and procedures before, during and after each flight.
  • Communicate with internal departments, external service providers and passengers.
  • Navigate and operate the aircraft inflight.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the company core competitive edge (i.e., excellent customer service).
  • Submit accurate and comprehensive administrative documentation.
  • Identify any safety threats and work collaboratively with the Captain and Operations towards a solution.
  • In the event of the incapacitation of the Captain, the Junior First Officer will assume command.
  • The Junior First Officer shall take all reasonable steps to:
    • Stay updated with the applicable SACAA and international aviation laws, and company Operation manual/s.
    • Maintain familiarity with such provisions of the company Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil the required function.
    • Assist the Captain as requested concerning operational and administrative duties in relation to the flight.
    • Assist the Captain in upholding a high standard of crew discipline, behavior, and personal appearance.
  • The Junior First Officer shall:
    • carry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with FlySafair Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft type. Furthermore, the Captain can allocate any additional duties as required.
    • Confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and its safe terrain clearance.
    • Volunteer such advice, information and assistance to the Captain as may contribute favourably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
    • Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the Company.
    • Support the Captain in the development and maintenance of a high standard of professional expertise and morale amongst the crew.
  • Ensure compliance with the companies operations manual at all times.
  • The Junior First Officer must be fully aware of the planned flight route, contents of briefing sheets, and the forecast with conditions and runway states at the destination and alternate aerodromes.
  • Perform all checks outlined in the Operations Manual and fill out all required documents accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the Captain to review all documents and information necessary to make an informed decision regarding fuel selection, alternates, and any restrictions that may be present on the flight.
  • Perform or monitor the execution of all normal, abnormal and emergency checklists in the manner specified in the Operations Manual, FCOM and FCTM to ensure that all procedures are accurately completed.
  • Monitor all aspects of the flight, checking that correct procedures and techniques are used, cross-checking all flight instrument indications, especially altitude/height, speed and heading, and advising the Captain immediately if:
    • the aircraft deviates from the planned flight path, or if the pilot observes the onset of a hazardous situation, or if any abnormal instrument reading, warning light, or indicator is detected.
  • Conduct R/T communications as and when required.
  • Ensure all post-flight procedures are completed as per the OM and FCOM.
  • Submit all relevant documentation and/or reports i.e. IQSMS.
Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
  • SACAA Commercial (Essential);
  • Class 1 SACAA Medical (Essential);
  • SACAA ATPL (Preferred);
  • Type rated on Boeing (Advantageous);
  • Must have a minimum of 1000 total flying hours and a minimum of 500 Twin Turbine (P1/2) (<10 000kg) (Essential) OR;
  • Must have a minimum of 1000 total flying hours and Boeing / Airbus Type Rated (Including Level D sim time) (Essential) OR;
