Purpose of Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SAP ABAP Developer with proven experience in SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) and a strong understanding of SOX compliance requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ABAP programs and interfaces, ensuring secure and compliant integration between SAP S/4HANA or ECC and SAP Ariba via CIG.


Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience in migrating legacy SAP technologies and custom developments to the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This includes re-platforming ABAP code, leveraging SAP BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP Build, and ensuring alignment with cloud-native development principles. 

Key Accountabilities

Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, forms, and interfaces.
Implement and support integration solutions between SAP and SAP Ariba using CIG.
Ensure all development and integration activities comply with SOX controls, including change management, access control, and audit trail requirements.
Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and evidence of SOX-compliant development practices.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Participate in system upgrades, patches, go-live support and other planned improvement / migration activities as require and planned by the company. 

Formal Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
SAP certification in ABAP or SAP Ariba Integration.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments.

Required Skills and Experience

6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
Proven experience with SAP Ariba CIG integration (cXML, IDocs, middleware) and BTP Migration.
Strong understanding of SOX compliance in SAP environments, including audit and control frameworks.

Purpose of Job

Lead the definition, creation, thought leadership and provisioning of the SAP/ERP platforms to drive business value and support operations. 
Responsible for the general health (availability and stability) of relevant applications and delivery of all contracted services. 
Ensure that related ERP Platforms and their upgrades and enhancements are planned, designed, built and deployed successfully to meet the needs of the Product Delivery Teams. 
Be accountable for ERP/SAP Platforms roadmaps and ensures that they are aligned to the IM strategy and enable long-term business improvement goals. 
Work closely with the Product Team starting from Discover & Describe phase to bring in the technology considerations and opportunities in the demand evaluation. They offer a range of deliveries, from large scale complex programs to simple rapid delivery projects, supported by the relevant knowledge, skills, tools and techniques (e.g. Agile, PMP, MSP). 

Key Accountabilities

Develop and manage relationships with technology partners and lead the ERP Platform’s related technology watch upon industry and technology trends to assess for future opportunities and roadmaps. 
Understand and manage the application licenses to ensure that they drive optimisation. 
Work with relevant teams to identify and implement automation initiatives in the application environments. Drive proactive monitoring and AIOPS of the applications to ensure that systems stability. 
Responsible for ensuring the sustained performance of the platform that is driven by AIOPS, tasked with finding automation opportunities to optimise the platforms day-to-day running, define and manage the strategic vision, manage capacity, resources and co-ordinates prioritisation sessions with stakeholders from each portfolio. 
Focus on ensuring that Product Portfolio teams underlying platform is stable and responsible for ensuring the sustained performance of the ERP platform, finding automation opportunities to optimise the platforms day-to-day running, define and manage the strategic vision, manage capacity, resources and co-ordinates prioritisation sessions with stakeholders from each portfolio. 
Responsible for all the SOX tests in the ERP platform to ensure that they are well executed to prevent risks and audit findings. 
Provide input to the strategic direction for Platforms in terms of providing clear north star vision for Sasol’s business and technology. 
Work with Enterprise Architects, Senior Solution Architects and technology partners to ensure alignment of IM Platform visions and roadmaps with IM strategy and target Enterprise Architecture and Vendor Management. 
Establish and provide platform maintenance roadmap and business case and ensures that proper knowledge management process and systems are in place for platforms and services. 
Manage the vendor ecosystem and responsible for the TCO of platforms. 
Ensure Requirements Management, Service Design, Process Design and Solution design for Platform and Services. 
Prepare proposals for optimisation, upgrades, retirement and/or replacement of Platforms. 
Collaborate with Delivery Management to develop DevOps technology strategy and implementation frameworks to align with the different Platform roadmaps. 
Drive buy-in and adoption of platforms enhancements and upgrades. 
Collaborate with delivery management to ensure that all the solutions and changes adheres to Deployment, Transition & Change Management practices. 
Set Service Continuity, Capacity, Event and Availability Management standards for Platform and Services. 
Set standards for the support & implementation partners for SLA and KPI framework that is aligned with the vision for the Platforms. 
Ensure that all platforms related solutions and changes are tested in accordance with the Quality Assurance & Testing practices and policies. 
Drive adoption and implementation of quality assurance and test automation practices in the platforms and solutions. 
Work with the IT Hardware and Software Asset Management teams to ensure that there is proper inventory management and asset management for all platform assets. 
Collaborate with service providers and other platform managers to ensure configuration management completeness, compliance and correctness.

Formal Education

Universty Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology) OR Relevant Degree

SAP Certificate (Wish)

Industry Certification in architecture ((e.g., TOGAF, GxP, ISO 9000) – preferable

Certification in a Business Process Management Methodology (e.g., BPM, SDLC, ITIL, DevOps, Agile, COBIT). preferable

Purpose of Job

To manage and provide a comprehensive management and financial accounting service that supports tactical and operational decision-making. This role plays a key part in the execution of financial activities and contributes to the financial and strategic direction of the business through insightful analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Accountabilities

•    Identify and monitor KPIs to measure consolidated business performance; develop dashboards to enhance visibility.
•    Lead scenario planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support sound financial decision-making.
•    Provide input into target setting and coordinate financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business unit.
•    Prepare scenario analyses to assess the impact of actual results against budgeted expectations.
•    Coordinate and report on cash flow forecasting, including reconciliations.
•    Analyse and validate budget and forecast outcomes against targets.
•    Compile monthly reports for BU EXCO, highlighting key results, variances, and opportunities.
•    Use data analytics to identify trends and anticipate financial movements.
•    Evaluate the impact of economic indicators on profit expectations.
•    Conduct variance analysis against budget, prior year, previous month, and forecasts.
•    Prepare key deliverables for Group FP&A (e.g., PVPY, Quarterly PSM, Analyst Book, Roadshow files).
•    Collect and consolidate data from OMEs to support Southern Africa break-even analysis and maintain the break-even model.
•    Prepare financial presentations, forecasts, and scenario analyses for strategic conferences.
•    Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are maintained and adhered to.
RCP / Capital Reporting
•    Ensure the RCP calendar is updated and distributed via email daily, especially around month-end timelines.
•    Update the RCP template and send to Financial Accountants for monthly capex actuals input.
•    Consolidate labour files across all entities and update the HC slide with actuals vs LFC vs budget.
•    Update four Capex slides with the latest year-to-date actuals.
•    Populate the Value Drivers template and provide variance explanations (e.g., volumes, Opex per Boe, HD CFC Capex).
•    Submit monthly actuals per entity.
•    Distribute RCP for feedback on variance explanations.
•    Submit Capex slides to NM for inclusion in the ROAS SVP Capital Report (2 reports), including monthly tables and bar graphs.
•    Copy slides into the SVP report as received from business Financial Accountants.
•    Submit HC data to the reporting team.
•    Submit monthly actuals per project.
•    Update and submit RCP actuals to Group via Onestream.
•    Distribute RCP year-to-date actuals and variance explanations to relevant stakeholders.
Budgets and Forecasts (FC)
•    Distribute budget and forecast (FC) rates to the business based on Onestream downloads.
•    Complete budget and FC submissions for labour (ZA66).
•    Complete budget and FC submissions for RCP Capex.
•    Update Onestream with RCP-related budget and FC data.
•    Distribute the updated RCP to Financial Accountants for review and input.
Adhoc Responsibilities
•    Perform monthly interest capitalisation (Interest Cap) calculations.
•    Complete timewriting inputs for PCO (Project Costing Office) calculations.
•    Calculate and maintain the Short-Term Incentive (STI) provision.
•    Determine and update new timewriting rates for the upcoming financial year.

Formal Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field/ BTech (required)
CA(SA) or CTA qualification (advantageous)

Working Experience

Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, management accounting, or a related field.
