Main purpose of the job
To develop academic material and lecture in allocated subjects for own and other programmes and to execute appropriate community projects.

Nature of appointment: Permanent Academic
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 777 297 per annum

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
- Relevant Master’s-level degree (i.e. M Tech/MSc/NQF 9 or equivalent) in Built Environment or related qualifications.
- At least two years’ teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the Built Environment.
- Registration as a Pr. or Candidate with the SACQSP/SACPCMP (CBE Bodies).
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
- Evidence of progress towards a Doctorate in Construction/ Quantity Surveying/ Built Environment or related field.
- Any acknowledged and accredited publications, research, innovation or creative output.

FINANCE│ Fees and Financial Aid
Bloemfontein Campus
Main purpose of the job
To manage the Fees & Financial Aid function. To liaise with external providers of bursaries and loans as well as all other stakeholders. To ensure relevant (statutory and other) reports are prepared and submitted. To ensure that necessary disciplines and controls are in place. To ensure funds for bursaries and loans are dispersed/allocated in line with University Policy and guidelines, and that all transactions are appropriately recorded.
Main tasks
- Policy Implementation/Review of Policy and Procedure
- Employee management and development
- Stakeholder Engagements
- Reporting
- Representation of the unit internally in different fora
Nature of appointment: Permanent support
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 1 235 235 per annum

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent qualification (NQF 7).
- 5 years’ experience in fees and financial aid, with 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Advanced MS Excel expertise.
- Working knowledge of:
- ITS or equivalent accounting administration system
- Statutory student funding
- Potential private funders
- Debt collection process and the Prescription Act
- The Higher Education Act
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Finance or equivalent qualification (NQF 8).
- 8 years’ experience in fees and financial aid, with 5 years in a supervisory/ management role.
