Shift Leader

Job Description

Liaise with expediting and logistics coordination regarding the safe and timely delivery of the equipment and materials to the site. 
Manages materials operations to ensure efficient and accurate delivery receipt and issuing of consumables. 
Leads and develops a team to operate equipment, work safely, and manage the flow of goods into and out of storage
Provides daily operational support to Internal customers with accurate information on asset location, loading, and unloading of materials, receiving and Issuing of goods.
Responsible for identifying material requirements, acquisition, and need dates and coordination of project management/operations, procurement, and engineering to maximize material availability and minimize surplus. 
Assists in materials control cost control and training.
Expertise in effecting development, monitoring of minimum stock level, ensuring smooth material movement. 
Ensure safeguarding, preservation, and maintenance of materials and equipment during possession and/or management by the Company. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma /Degree Supply Chain 
  • 5 Years experience in a Supply Chain environment

Toolmaker

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct planned maintenance on press and plastic mould tools
  • Conduct planned maintenance schedules,
  • Improve operational efficiency,
  • Ensure effective quality,
  • Ensure cost effective replacements of tools,
  • Maintenance of tools, jigs, and dies to the maximum up time,
  • Adhere to company health and safety and housekeeping standards,
  • Develop / fabricate new equipment,
  • Liaise with relevant departments regarding their specific requirements and train subordinates,
  • Limit reworks and non-conforming product,
  • Problem solving on tools, jigs, dies and related machine setting.
  • Work a three-shift pattern, standby and overtime,
  • Repair breakdowns and assist on machine (Press and injection moulding machines) to ensure correct use and setup of tool mould.
  • Ensure efficient work standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric certificate
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as trade tested Toolmaker with industry experience in plastic injection moulding and metal press tool.
  • Previous maintenance experience and a willingness to learn,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Press and Injection moulding machine experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • CNC Experience (Milling machine and Wire cutter)
  • Read, understand, and draft technical drawings.
  • CAD (Computer Aided Design)/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacture)

Specialist – Process Engineer

Job Description


We are currently on a search for a Specialist – Process Engineer to join one of South Africa’s leading appliances manufacturer. The purpose of the role is to provide support to the projects in manufacturing, pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initial concept to completion within budget and to the required quality level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To manage and implement platform projects from conceptual phase to implementation
  • To manage and implement cost reduction/quality improvement projects
  • Advising on and reviewing manufacturing methods and plans for the project
  • Advising on and reviewing manpower and equipment plans for the project
  • Project technical issue investigation, analysis and resolution
  • Ensure compliance to all aspects of SHEQ
  • Conduct acceptance testing in the factory and performance testing
  • Develop project plans and ensure the project is executed within budget, resource, and time constraints
  • Managing the planning and implementation of the entire project including mentoring and planning the project release
  • Must be able to understand the characteristics of a project and apply sound judgement of project development cycle
  • Designs as required by the specific project, including the specification required and sourcing of the various components
  • Ensure all work carried out complies with the correct standards in terms of accuracy and safety
  • Responsible for review and quality of all project’s technical documentation
  • Manage and control Engineering changes on the project
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies and equipment.
  • Monitoring and analysing process data, identifying trends and proposing solutions for process improvement continuously.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • 2–3 years in project management
  • 2–3 Year’s experience within Manufacturing
  • Recognized qualification in project management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in 3D drawing / CAD and layout work
  • Project management proficiency
  • Proven ability to deliver complex engineering solutions
  • Planning, prioritizing and organizing skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to interact with internal and external parties
  • Thermoforming, PU process, Steel forming and assembly plant background will be advantageous
