PREFERABLE minimum N4 + relevant trade test (Qualified Artisan with traceable full apprenticeship background / National Diploma in Engineering as Welder + Trade Test will be an added advantage, Must have at least 3 year relevant industry experience and 3 years training experience, Must be a Qualified Assessor and Moderator with SETA / NAMB will be an advantage, Must have an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (SHE rep), Must be Computer literate, Ability to work with minimum supervision and ability to work under pressure, Must have a Medical Fitness Certificate.
Key responsibility areas:
Providing training to engineering interns according to the planned training, coordinate training tasks, Monitor learner performance, training record keeping, register learners on the system of QCTO EISA/FISA, write and upload SOR to the QCTO system, Management of workshop tools and equipment, Conduct risk assessment, Investigate and report incidents, directly report to the training Centre manager.

Requirement:
Grade 12 / NCV level 4 or equivalent, plus an appropriate recognized National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (REQV13) in Civil Engineering backed by a professional qualification in Education. Must have a one year lecturing experience in the Civil Engineering and Building Construction subjects. Background of Construction Materials and Planning L2 to L4 in NCV on top of the above qualification will be added advantage. Trained as an Assessor and Moderator. Registered with SACE. Computer literacy. Trade in Construction Carpentry and roof work will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s license would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
Assist in registration of students and student induction course procedure. Work in cooperation with the immediate supervisor and other managers on the hierarchy. Teaching and learning of Civil Engineering and Building Construction L2 – L4 subjects which includes reporting on student engagement in teaching activities. Teaching administration like preparing work schedule, lesson plan (the entire lecturer subject file, POE, POA).
