Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business / Functional Management
- Execute operational and technical duties in line with organizational directives, as provided.
- Support implementation of business initiatives as directed.
Financial, Commercial and Contracts Management
- Work with materials and equipment in a cost-effective way, as per standard operating procedures and practice notes as directed.
- Ensure full compliance to material usage requirements in executing duties.

Operations and Project Management
- Contribute to plan / schedule generation for daily / shift work, in line with project goals.
- Responsible for operational execution of work, through delivery of own tasks and duties, as well as supervision of the work for the team on shift.
Management Operating Systems and Reporting
- Ensure all paperwork and posters are displayed on the site office wall and kept up to date.
- Ensure all reported near misses are recorded following procedure and submitted weekly.
Technical Management
- Responsible for adherence to technical standards and work methods, for section, in accordance with organizational and client requirements, policies, procedures and legislation.
SHEQ Management
- Check sums are right on plan drawings and quantities and that all materials and work are to the specifications.
- Record the condition of plant arriving on site on a form with photographs.
People Management
- Lead and manage team.
- Support, guide and coach team.
Culture and Climate
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement for the duration of the project.
- Align with client culture requirements as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- National Diploma in Civil/ Industrial/ metallurgy engineering.
EXPERIENCE
- At least one to two year’s tailings deposition experience working in a mining / tailing’s environment or construction environment.

The roles exist to execute multiple large and small-scale projects. Oversee safety, risk, technical
and commercial management. Overall systems, processes and people management. Interact vertically with operations teams, clients and senior operations management and horizontally with broad business operations in the Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc Degree / BTech qualification in Mining / Metallurgy / Chemical / Civil or similar.
- Project and a general management qualification would be advantageous.
- Mineral Processing course.
- Mineral Residue Disposal course (MRD101).
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five years relevant experience in respect of managing tailings and/or remining sites.
- Proven experience in different types of deposition techniques such as paddocking, cycloning.
- Remining, deposition and Construction management experience would be advantageous
- Proven practical and hands-on experience in the management of leaders, labour and plant resources.
- Planning and commissioning of projects, preferably on tailings or re-mining operations.

An opportunity exists to assist with the operation of FEL/ TLB/ Excavator/ ADT/ Grader/ Water Truck that are required to make the operation safer and more convenient by excavating trenches, loading, cleaning spillages, connecting pipes, construction of deposition wall and maintenance of access roads.
REQUIREMENTS
Production Requirements
- Operation of FEL, TLB Excavator, ADT, Grader and Water Truck to either load, dig, clean trenches, ditch slimes dam, maintenance of access roads, connecting pipes and building of deposition wall.
- Ensure that relevant SOP’s (Standard operating procedure) for the specific machine is followed at all times.
- Responsible for general housekeeping of the machine.
- General inspection of the machine before / after the shift, and complete inspection checklist.
- Adhere to safety rules and regulations at all times.
Equipment
- Complete pre-shift inspection report at the beginning of every shift, report all faults and problems to the Supervisor.
- Inspect the equipment (machine) and the working area.
Operator Maintenance
- Operate and maintain equipment as per OEM operator manual specifications.
- Check condition of the machine.
- Always ensure cleanliness of the machine.
- Ensure lubrication as per OEM specifications.
- Maintain fuel levels in the machine as required.
- Assist maintenance personnel with tasks when required
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12.
- Valid MQA accredited (FEL/ TLB/ Excavator/ ADT/ Grader/ Water Truck) Competency Certificate.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 2-3 years relevant work experience in an earthmoving environment.
