Content Management Systems Specialist

The Content Management Systems Specialist will be responsible for managing the customer-facing digital touchpoints within Hungry Lion stores, ensuring consistency and accuracy across digital menu panels and point-of-sale (POS) pricing systems. This role plays a key part in optimising the customer journey by maintaining up-to-date product offerings, pricing accuracy, and alignment between marketing campaigns and in-store execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Menu Management

  • Update and maintain digital menu board content across all stores using the digital signage software.
  • Ensure timely implementation of menu changes in line with marketing campaigns, promotions, and seasonal offers.
  • Coordinate with the Creative Team to ensure all content is visually aligned with brand standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure digital menu content is accurate, consistent, and optimised for clarity and customer experience.

2. POS Pricing and Menu Management

  • Collaborate with various other teams and departments to update pricing and product information in the POS system.
  • Ensure seamless rollout of menu and price changes to all store locations with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Test and verify POS menu updates before and after deployment to prevent errors.
  • Maintain a change log for all POS menu updates and liaise with internal teams for feedback.

3. User Journey Optimisation

  • Map and review in-store user journeys regularly to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with Marketing, Operations, and Insights teams to ensure all touchpoints, from digital menus to ordering, are intuitive, efficient, and engaging.
  • Monitor customer feedback related to menu visibility, comprehension, and ordering process.

4. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Act as the central point of contact between Marketing, Operations, Insights, IT, and store teams for all menu and pricing updates.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on industry trends and best practices to ensure our customer journey is as efficient as possible.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Management, IT Systems, or related field.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in QSR, retail, or FMCG industry preferred.
  • Prior experience with POS systems, CMS software, or menu management tools is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Basic understanding of digital platforms and POS back-office systems.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and manage new software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Digital Content Creator

The Digital Content Creator is responsible for developing and executing engaging, on-brand content across Hungry Lion’s digital platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and brand affinity.  The role involves turning ideas into compelling visuals, copy, and stories, aligned with marketing objectives and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Production

  • Conceptualise, plan, and produce compelling content (photo, video, animation, and copy) for social media, website, and internal campaigns.
     
  • Create platform-appropriate content optimised for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
     
  • Work closely with designers, and brand teams to ensure content consistency with the Hungry Lion tone and visual identity.

2. Social Media

  • Support the rollout of social content calendars and campaign plans.
     
  • Collaborate with the digital team to identify trending topics, formats, and relevant content for the brand.

3. Campaign Support & Brand Activation

  • Translate marketing briefs into creative digital executions that amplify in-store promotions and campaigns.
     
  • Ensure digital assets align with broader marketing KPIs and campaign goals.

4. Analytics & Optimisation

  • Monitor content performance using analytics tools and provide insights for optimisation.
     
  • Stay up-to-date with social media & digital trends, platform features, and audience behaviour; suggest new formats or channels.


Key Competencies

  • Strong visual storytelling and creative direction skills.
     
  • Excellent photography, videography, and editing abilities (Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or equivalent).

Inventory Management Specialist

Purpose of the Role

The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of all financial records relating to inventory held in the company’s warehouses (there are warehouses situated in various countries, including South Africa, China and Zambia). This includes overseeing the financial reporting of stock, validating stock movements, and ensuring that stock transactions are properly processed, reconciled, and reflected in the accounting system.

The role serves as the key link between warehouse operations and the finance department, supporting both operational efficiency and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and internal control policies.
 

Key Responsibilities

1. Stock Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Review and reconcile all stock-related general ledger accounts to ensure accurate valuation and reporting of inventory balances. This will be reconciled to the stock valuation report.
  • Ensure that stock movements (purchases, transfers, issues, and sales) are correctly captured in SAGE X3, through liaising with the various stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review monthly stock reports, including valuation adjustments, write-offs, and provisions for obsolete or slow-moving stock.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS for SMEs and company accounting policies in the treatment and presentation of inventory.

2. Stock Verification and Control

  • Coordinate and oversee periodic stock counts (cycle counts and full physical counts) across warehouse locations and ensure the system reflects their physical counted quantities.
  • Review stock count results, investigate variances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor stock adjustments to identify unusual patterns or control weaknesses.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over stock management and reporting processes.

3. Transaction Processing Oversight

  • Review and approve stock-related transactions such as purchase orders, goods received notes, and sales orders to ensure proper financial documentation.
  • Verify that all stock purchases and issues are appropriately authorised and supported by valid documentation.
  • Liaise with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies in stock processing and documentation.

4. Analysis and Management Support

  • Analyse gross margins and stock-related variances to support business decision-making.
  • Provide financial insights to management on stock utilisation, turnover, and valuation trends.
  • Support external and internal audit requirements related to stock accounting.

5. Systems and Process Improvement

  • Participate in process reviews and system enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
  • Support the implementation of best practices in stock accounting, reporting, and internal control.


Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting and valuation principles (FIFO, weighted average, NRV tests).
  • Solid working knowledge of ERP systems and stock management modules.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (finance, warehouse, procurement).
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and internal control frameworks.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Completed articles or studying toward a professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, or similar) advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in inventory accounting or cost accounting within a manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms (e.g. SAGE X3).

Logistics Coordinator

As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) process and providing critical administrative support to the Development Team. The role ensures procurement efficiency, financial accuracy, and smooth project execution by handling POs, SOs, vendor quotes, and project-related administration. In addition, the role supports the team with warehouse documentation and performance reporting to improve transparency and accountability.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, process, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies.
  • Manage Sales Orders (SOs) including Inter-Branch Transfers (IBTs) and Internal Charges (ICs)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP/finance systems, PO processes, and reporting tools (Excel, dashboards, etc.).
  • Good numeracy and data accuracy for financial and procurement documentation.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, internal departments, and project stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced QSR development environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with initiative to resolve PO or project-related issues proactively

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, or similar field (advantageous).
  • 2+ years of administrative, procurement, or finance support experience, ideally within QSR, construction, or retail development industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with purchase orders, vendor management, and inter-branch processes.
  • Exposure to KPI monitoring and warehouse documentation is advantageous

Warehouse Manager

As the Warehouse Manager, you will manage warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfilment, to optimise resource utilisation, minimise costs, and meet business demand. Your role involves planning, organising, and controlling warehouse activities to achieve operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Further develop and implement an integrated warehouse management system and strategy to support the business object.
  • Collaborate with Development, Maintenance, Operations and Logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and plan replenishment orders
  • Performance analysis of the overall budget/expenses for the warehouse operation 
  • Implement best practices for warehouse management, including organising stock, implementing FIFO system, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
