Job description
  • Assist the Regional Site Manager & the Supervisor to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements for GRCS operational areas.
  • Participate in regular risk assessments and safety audits across the organization and update safety systems as required.
  • Assist the Regional Site Manager to implement policies, procedures, and training program and keep records.
  • Compile incidents and accidents investigation reports under the guidance and support of Site Management
  • Assist Site Management to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness among employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support continuous improvement in compliance requirements where required.
  • Administer HSEC Online and Passport 360 platforms or similar systems.
  • Assist with preparing weekly and monthly management reports.
  • Assist with internal audits and update files to ensure compliance with the contractor’s requirements.
  • Follow up on audit actions and inspections to comply with target times.
  • Keep records of monthly PTOs of relevant staff from Supervisors and Manager.
  • Assist with compiling and manage the staff daily work, leave and training rosters and update system with time capturing as per the Manger’s assignment
  • Manage office and distribute site specific supplies, maintaining and managing a clean workspace at responsible sites, organizing and updating relevant files as required.
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation for site management, visitors and employees.
Minimum requirements
  • Minimum of Grade 12
  • Experience and certification will be an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Rail Management Compliance Systems an Administration will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of MHSA and OHSA with regulations will be an advantage
  • Self-starting, challenging, strong willed and determined to succeed
  • Computer Literate (Must be proficient in Microsoft Office packages and able to learn)
  • Knowledge of Passport 360 and HSEC Online (Advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced problem-solving skills

Job description

Reporting directly to the National Operations Manager (based in Sydney), the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth turnaround of vessels and coordinating all operational requirements. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·        Manage customs, port and immigration formalities on behalf of vessels

·        Liaise with principals and suppliers to provide timely updates on vessel progress

·        Coordinate required services and logistics for vessel operations

·        Prepare estimated disbursement accounts and finalise them post-departure

·        Oversee general ship husbandry, including provisioning, crew transport and accommodation

·        Monitor and report on cargo operations to ensure efficiency

·        Follow up on supplier and service provider invoices

·        Attend port meetings and maintain accurate port lists

·        Update and maintain AOS with timely and accurate information

·        Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and systems

·        Support additional tasks, overflow work, and relief operations in other ports as needed

Minimum requirements

Job description

Reporting to the Finance Executive (based in Cape Town) and working closely with the Operations Executive and General Manager (Namibia), the responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, forecasts, annual budgets and year-end financial results

·        Ensure the preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies

·        Manage the debtors process, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations to maintain optimal cash flow

·        Review creditor reconciliations and approve supplier payments in line with company policies

·        Monitor daily bank balances, ensure sufficient cash flow and optimise interest earnings

·        Conduct checks, analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.

·        Liaise with divisions to resolve accounting issues and ensure consistency of financial practices

·        Identify, implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency

·        Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, managing timely and accurate delivery of all financial outputs

·        Partner with management to provide financial insights and support in key decision-making processes

Reporting to the Operations Manager (Tanzania), the successful applicant will be expected to execute the following responsibilities:

·        Boarding vessels which are located at the base on the port

·        Pick up port authority personnel and take them to the to the ship for inward clearance

·        Pick up sick crew and take them to hospital, if required

·        Deliver ship spares onboard vessel

·        Attend daily meetings for all vessels which are in berth to see if the Master requires any assistance

·        Send daily discharge/loading report to principal/owner and receivers

·        Attend daily operations planning meeting

·        Resolve issues/problems with the vessels or if operation does not go according to plan

·        Follow up with the Port Revenue department for outward clearances and outstanding invoices

·        Submit hard copies of documents to authorities e.g. manifests

·        Arrange with port authority personnel for outward clearance

Minimum requirements
