Specialist: Governance, Risk & Compliance
Job Description
Purpose
To provide specialist governance, risk and compliance (GRC) related management support and advisory services to management across the SABN, whilst maintaining the approved GRC methodologies as aligned to the risk and compliance management frameworks. Develop and maintain ethical practices, business continuity planning, records management, to safeguard the integrity of the SABN’s operations and protect the SABN’s stakeholders’ interests.
Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the GRC functions for the Company including ethics management, business continuity management and information and records management.
- Develop and implement appropriate GRC oversight functionality to assist business in evaluating performance.
- To maintain the alignment of policies, processes and systems to industry best practice.
- To monitor compliance with all relevant legislation and SABN’s policies and procedures.
- To provide expert advice on GRC matters to relevant stakeholders. Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships in order to ensure effective service delivery by the GRC Advisory Services Function.
- To maintain an operational risk and compliance management strategy in accordance with the SABN risk management framework.
- Manage and participate in multi-faceted educational and awareness programmes that focus on GRC and pertinent SABN policies and procedures.
- To develop, maintain and oversee ethics management practices, business continuity management and record management with in the SABN.
- Ensure ISO certification is maintained through documentation, registration and maintenance of SABN and departmental policies, procedures and processes, and compliance thereto.
The Ideal candidate is likely to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree Honours in relevant field of Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Certified Ethics Officer
- Certificate in Business Continuity Management
- Certificate in Risk Management (added advantage)
- Certificate in Compliance Management (added advantage)
- 5 – 8 years’ experience in GRC
Knowledge and Skills:
- Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission’s (COSO) Enterprise Risk Management: Integrated Framework
- King Code of Governance Principles for South Africa
- Project Management, including process and/or project risk management skills
- Transformational Change Management
- Communication (verbal and written)
- Continuous improvement principles and solutions
- Strategic thinking
- Stakeholder management

Assistant: Production
Job Description
Purpose:
To provide, assistance the department with daily production tasks.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
•Accept and inspect product, raw materials from the storage areas and transport these to the applicable production section.
•Ensure that there are sufficient consumables such as platforms and boxes for the production shift.
•Operating the feeder to ensure good quality paper feed into the machine, troubleshoot and resolve feeder related problems.
•Monitors ink levels, replenish as and when required, perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
•Operating cutting machine for boards, assist with the changeover, make ready, cleaning and stripping of machine.
•Report any deviations in accordance with the company procedures.
•Assist with balancing of product daily.
•Adhere to standard operating procedures, work instructions and housekeeping standards.
•Ensure that safe work practices are adhered to, identify, address, escalate hazards and risks in the workplace
•To perform adhoc duties as when requested
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:
•Grade 12
•N3 Engineering or TT3
•1 – 2 years’ experience in the printing/manufacturing industry will be added advantage
Knowledge and Skills:
•Numeracy and literacy skills
•Communication skills (verbal and written) skills
•Good listening skills

Operator Coating
Job Description
Purpose
Produce high quality coated products in accordance to customer specifications and SABN standards.
Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
•Produce coated products as per set performance targets and in full compliance with quality specifications.
•Ensure that machines are operated according to Standard Operating Procedures.
•Minimise wastage in every activity within set targets.
•Ensure autonomous maintenance tasks are completed as per the schedule, and any defective performance is reported to Section Head.
•Operate the machine in adherence to SHE regulations and legislation.
•Contribute to continuous improvement.
•Immediately highlight any balancing issues to Section Head.
•Ensure correct entry of data into DCLink.
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:
•Grade 12
•N4 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
•1- 2 years’ experience within a printing/ manufacturing industry, in a similar operational
role.
•Experience in coating/varnishing (Advantageous).
Knowledge and Skills:
•Principles of production
•Knowledge of Printing Industry
•Numeracy and literacy skills
•Communication skills
•Computer literacy
