Litigation Administrator – Gauteng Region

Job Description

To administer and process cases referred by the Arbitration section to ensure execution of enforcement arbitration awards and recovery of monies owing, to contribute to the effective and efficient compliance enforcement services within the prescribed legal time frames and prevent debt prescription.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, process and submit section 143 applications to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) for certification.
  • Referring writs of execution to Sheriffs for execution of certified enforcement awards.
  • Review and ensure processing of Sheriff’s return of service for payment of Sheriff costs.
  • Liaise with attorneys/labour consultants and employers with regards to active cases, outstanding amounts and settlement of cases.
  • Providing an effective and efficient service to clients on the progress/status of their cases and dealing with other inquiries.
  • Compile and providing relevant documents to Funds Administration for processing of payments.
  • Ensuring that all cases that have been finalized and closed are referred to Document Management administration for archive.
  • General Office Administration including stationary control and filing.
  • Prepare and submit monthly performance statistics report to the immediate Supervisor on all case activities, and challenges for the month.
  • Assist with compiling and filing of records of enforcement proceedings with the Labour Court.
  • Assist with compiling and filing of applications to attach bank accounts with the Labour Court.
  • Assist with compiling and filing of applications for contempt of Court proceedings with the Labour Court.
  • Assist with compiling and filing of financial inquiry proceedings with the Magistrates Court.
  • Assist with compiling and filing of applications to make enforcement arbitration awards Court orders with the Labour Court.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • NQF6 qualification in Law / Labour Law
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years legal process and administration experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years legal experience in the execution of enforcement arbitration awards and/or Court orders will be an added advantage.

Cleaner – Witbank Office (3 Days a Week)

Job Description

Performs cleaning and general office duties for a regional office under general supervision of the Office Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times for the regional office including dusting, vacuuming, emptying of bins and spring cleaning once a month.
  • Report any defects in equipment or office materials to the office administrator to ensure health and safety procedures are followed and to enable repairs to be carried out.
  • Boardroom/Meeting room management to ensure clean, ready for meetings and to ensure that beverages are set out timeously for meetings.
  • Stand in for the Office Administrator when on leave or out of the office which includes: Petty cash invoice reconciliation and submission to head office.
  • Administrative assistance and support to agents for all queries and referrals.
  • Handle all walk in and phone queries for the regional office.
  • Preparation of enforcement files with all the required printouts and documentation needed to proceed.
  • Preparation of monthly reports which are then referred to senior agents for checking.
  • Answering of telephone.
  • Referral of complex queries to senior agents for follow up and resolution.
  • Access Telnet for all required information needed for queries handled.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
  • Basic computer skills
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year proven working experience as a Cleaner/Office Administrator/Office Assistant.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
