Job Description
Design and execute test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of the Financial Intelligence Centre software products
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
•Gather, analyze and perform detailed test review of system documentation: Business requirements specification and Functional requirements specifications (BRS, FRS)
•Identify and raise issues in system documentation: Business requirements specification and Functional requirements specifications (BRS, FRS)
•Extract test requirements from BRS into the relevant testing tool. i.e.: Quality Centre or, JIRA/Xray, Microsoft Azure Dev Ops
•Design and execute test cases to ensure the software product meets the highest quality standards and comply with procedures.
•Identify and extract test requirements from business requirements.
•Ensure that test entry and exit criteria are met.
•Collaborate with ICT and project teams on business requirements and change management.
•Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business and ensuring that test cases for UAT are easily testable.
•Produce test reports for relevant internal stakeholders when required
•Design test cases in testing tool by applying different test techniques
•Perform peer review of test cases
•Identify, design and manage own test data
•Perform defect tracking and resolution, ensuring timely identification and fixing of issues
•Analyze test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
•Execute manual & automation regression test pack
•Log, review, monitor and report own defects
•Report back to the testing team on the test progress
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•Relevant ICT diploma is mandatory, NQF 6
•ISTQB or ISEB certificates will be advantages
•3-5 years’ experience in testing software solutions especially in a financial industry
•4+ years’ experience as a Manual Test Analyst
•2+ years’ experience in executing automation scripts (added as an advantageous)
•Experience in using test tools – Quality Centre, Unified Functional Testing, Quick Test Professional, JIRA/Xray/Confluence and Microsoft Azure Dev Ops
•Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and STLC Software Testing Life Cycle)
•Knowledge of software test practices, principles and best practices
•Application of test techniques and software testing processes
•Knowledge of test types (Component Integration Testing/ System Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing) Functional Testing and Non-Functional testing Ability to work well with test and project team members and share knowledge and expertise

Job Description
Key Performance Areas include:
- Provide advice on reviews where expert knowledge of industry and guidance is requested;
- Provide written / verbal testimony in administrative and criminal proceedings where required;
- Respond to highly complex compliance queries where required;
- Present to highly complex audiences, e.g. JSE members, and provide additional input into written material;
- Provide expert advice on highly complex guidance products, including directives, as well as interpretation issues for the compliance handbook;
- Lead and advise consultations with Supervisory Bodies;
- Provide expert advice across industries pertaining to the entity compliance profiles;
- Identify and provide expert advice and solutions related to the AML risks at the national, industry/sector and entity risk assessment levels;
- Provide advice on research methodology and lead research in respect of risk based approach and other complex compliance areas;
- Conceptualise and facilitate the development and implementation of data systems, reporting tools, and the integration of data within the FIC;
- Engage with external reporters who have complex business systems, to facilitate registration and reporting;
- Engage and facilitate with external agencies to facilitate the movement of information from them to the FIC in a format that can be integrated into the FIC systems.
