About the role:

As the Manager: Analytics Engineering at Capitec, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing scalable data pipelines and ensuring efficient analytics operations to empower data-driven decision-making. Your focus will be on driving innovation in data integration and feature store development, enabling seamless collaboration between data science and BI teams.

In this role, you will lead the creation of robust feature stores to support AI/ML model development and semantic models for enhanced analytics and reporting. Our ideal candidate has:

• Over 5 years in data engineering or analytics engineering, including 2 years as a manager or team lead within an analytical team.
• Proficient in SQL and delivering complex analytical requirements.
• Managing senior and executive level stakeholders and influencing decision making at these levels
• Utilising data Pipelining tools such as Apache, Airflow, AWS Glue
• Data visualisation with tools such as PowerBI

About the Team and Role

The Connect Technology Delivery Team forms part of a dynamic and evolving technology environment within Capitec. The team has transitioned from a primarily data-focused function into a software delivery–driven capability, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing strategic technology solutions that enable Connect’s business objectives. 

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to contribute to the design and implementation of Connect’s new Revenue Management System. This platform plays a critical role in tracking sales, cost of sales, and revenue across multiple product lines, with integration points to third-party systems and real-time data flows serving as a source system for the broader bank. 

The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of business and technology- translating complex business requirements into actionable, technically sound solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers and architects to ensure robust delivery and alignment to Connect’s technology strategy. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document system and functional requirements. 
• Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and solution designs. 
• Collaborate with software engineering and architecture teams to design and validate system integrations and data flows. 
• Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of the new revenue management platform. 
• Support delivery teams in ensuring solutions meet business requirements, performance expectations, and compliance standards. 
• Contribute to continuous improvement through the identification of optimisation and automation opportunities. 

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a technically skilled and business-savvy Systems Analyst who can bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Minimum Requirements:  

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in systems analysis or a related technical role. 
• Strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka (or equivalent event streaming technologies). 
• Proven experience working within AWS environments. 
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex systems and deliver structured, high-quality documentation. 
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Infrastructure Code (IaC) and modern deployment pipelines.

About The Role

We are seeking a Domain Architect for Service Management Systems to drive the development, standardization, and governance of architectural components within our service management domain. This is a senior, strategic role focused on building reusable, future-fit solutions that support IT Service Management (ITSM), HR Service Management (HRSM), and related capabilities across the enterprise. You will act as a subject matter expert and advisor, ensuring that all solutions are designed for scalability, maintainability, and innovation, while minimizing technical debt and complexity.

• Minimum 6–8 years’ experience in service management systems, with at least 4 years in domain or solution architecture roles.

Client Experience (CX) Specialist

Purpose Statement

• To deliver world-class client experience (CX) for Capitec Clients as well as user experience for staff through independently executing activities across the entire CX scope:
  • Applying deep subject matter expertise and research findings to influence the development and integration of CX standards into the product development life cycle, actively using Design Thinking principles.
  • To work independently and assume decision making authority and ownership of the end-of-the-end delivery (insights, design, measurement and experience testing) of complex CX solutions, in line with the business, product and CX strategies, as well as brand fundamentals.

About The Role

The Domain Architect (Salesforce) will be responsible for designing and overseeing end-to-end Salesforce architectural solutions within key business domains.

Purpose Statement

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving data‑informed decision‑making across the organisation. You’ll work with large and complex datasets to uncover meaningful insights that directly support strategic priorities. This is a hands‑on, technical role that requires strong analytical capability, sound business acumen, and the ability to work independently while owning projects from concept through to delivery.
Your core purpose is to create value by solving client and business challenges through data. By leveraging your analytical skills and experience, you will build actionable insights that enable senior decision‑makers to make more informed decisions, faster.

Education (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Statistics

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum

Experience:

• At least 4 years’ experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or equivalent (data analyst etc.) including experience in data analytics, BI methods and tools, data warehousing and the data life cycle.
• Experience in identifying, quantifying, and subsequently delivering value on how to solve business challenges using data 
• Experience with stakeholder engagement 
• Experience in working with data on cloud platforms, such as AWS or Microsoft Azure 
• Experience in building data visualisations using tools such as Power BI 
• Experience of using SQL to prepare and analyse data

Knowledge:

• Knowledge and basic experience in using low/no code AutoML on modelling tools such as Power BI or AWS Sagemaker  
• Design thinking
• Dimensional Modelling
• The Data Product Life Cycle (DPLC)
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices 
• Knowledge and understanding of data quality and incident management  
• Knowledge and experience of agile project management methodology 

Ideal:

• Previous experience working in business analysis in the banking sector
• Knowledge of change management principles and practices
