About the role:
As the Manager: Analytics Engineering at Capitec, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing scalable data pipelines and ensuring efficient analytics operations to empower data-driven decision-making. About the Team and Role
The Connect Technology Delivery Team forms part of a dynamic and evolving technology environment within Capitec. The team has transitioned from a primarily data-focused function into a software delivery–driven capability, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing strategic technology solutions that enable Connect’s business objectives.
We are seeking a Systems Analyst to contribute to the design and implementation of Connect’s new Revenue Management System. This platform plays a critical role in tracking sales, cost of sales, and revenue across multiple product lines, with integration points to third-party systems and real-time data flows serving as a source system for the broader bank.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of business and technology- translating complex business requirements into actionable, technically sound solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers and architects to ensure robust delivery and alignment to Connect’s technology strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document system and functional requirements.

About The Role
We are seeking a Domain Architect for Service Management Systems to drive the development, standardization, and governance of architectural components within our service management domain. Purpose Statement
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving data‑informed decision‑making across the organisation. You’ll work with large and complex datasets to uncover meaningful insights that directly support strategic priorities. This is a hands‑on, technical role that requires strong analytical capability, sound business acumen, and the ability to work independently while owning projects from concept through to delivery.
Your core purpose is to create value by solving client and business challenges through data. By leveraging your analytical skills and experience, you will build actionable insights that enable senior decision‑makers to make more informed decisions, faster.
Education (Minimum)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Statistics
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum
Experience:
- At least 4 years’ experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or equivalent (data analyst etc.) including experience in data analytics, BI methods and tools, data warehousing and the data life cycle.
- Experience in identifying, quantifying, and subsequently delivering value on how to solve business challenges using data
- Experience with stakeholder engagement
- Experience in working with data on cloud platforms, such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Experience in building data visualisations using tools such as Power BI
- Experience of using SQL to prepare and analyse data
Knowledge:
- Knowledge and basic experience in using low/no code AutoML on modelling tools such as Power BI or AWS Sagemaker
- Design thinking
- Dimensional Modelling
- The Data Product Life Cycle (DPLC)
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices
- Knowledge and understanding of data quality and incident management
- Knowledge and experience of agile project management methodology
Ideal:
- Previous experience working in business analysis in the banking sector
- Knowledge of change management principles and practices
