The role will partner with customers, distributors, and internal teams to optimise pricing, promotion, shelving, and assortment, using industry trends and data insights to drive profitability and improve shopper satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

Category Management

Analyse shelf health and pricing data, including availability, forward share, and shelf position.
Monitor product availability, visibility, and affordability, and consolidate insights.
New Product Launching

Develop and deliver new product launch plans in the trade, with required analysis and feedback.
Customer Relationship Management

Identify and address customer information needs.
Follow up to ensure sales initiatives are implemented with the right customers.
Category Planning

Develop customer proposals and recommendations, and drive category projects with front-end and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation aligned with NRM.
Performance Evaluation

Review category performance and customer profitability.
Consolidate dashboards and scorecards, analysing performance drivers and identifying NRM opportunities.

We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Brand Manager to join our dynamic Marketing Team (Pet Food). The role will be based in Westville and report to the Marketing Director – Pet.

RCL FOODS entrusts the Brand Manager to drive brand growth in terms of equity, market share, revenue and profitability, facilitate end to end Brand Marketing from strategy to idea and execution, develop and manage the long-term Brand Strategy including the Brand positioning, Brand Strategic Plans and Innovation funnel. Develop and lead an integrated Brand Marketing Plan and lead execution across channels in market.

Minimum Requirements
A Degree or Post Graduate Degree in Marketing and or in related Business Management.
Minimum 3 years brand management experience.
Demonstrable brand development and management experience, especially experience working on innovation projects.
Sound budget and financial understanding.
Digital marketing understanding.
Consumer obsession – a desire to understand your consumer intimately.
Customer understanding and ability to work collaboratively with Customer and National Account Management teams.
Good shopper understanding.
Knowledge:

Brand strategy & management principles.
Marketing management principles and practices.
Market research methodologies.
Develop consumer intimacy & gather insights.
Business processes especially financial, customer, supply chain & R&D.
Competitor landscape.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leads and develops the brand strategy, brand plan, brand positioning architecture, innovation roadmap and channel plans.
Works with lead agencies to develop communication assets in line with the brand strategy.
Responsible for development and launch of consumer-led innovation to reach brand and business objectives.
Consumer insights to develop an ongoing understanding of consumer perceptions and behaviour in order to optimise all brand assets.
Develops channel strategy for execution and manages key implementation of assets by channel.
Provides input to volume forecasting, financial updates and monitors key indicators and drivers of brand performance (6P’s).
Develops and executes agreed brand activity both ATL and BTL across multiple channels.
Works with Customer Marketing, setting national level brand KPI’s and identifies relevant in-store solutions.
Monitors brand performance and implements appropriate plan changes.
Coaches the Brand Assistant Manager in Brand management skills and competencies.
Manages any re-launches or new launches, and builds launch plans and channel strategies (promotions, media and POS).
Manages internal and external stakeholders within matrix organisation – cross-functionally and across business units.
Monitors competitor activity.
Evaluates campaigns – highlighting areas of good performance vs. areas of learning.
Cross functional management of teams both internally and externally to ensure alignment and timeous decision making where necessary.
