JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing effective and efficient general cleaning services on the precinct of Parliament as per the relevant cleaning standards and requirements.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  1. Cleaning of occupant spaces and areas
  2. Cleaning of public spaces and common areas
  3. Health and Safety – Compliance

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum requirement: Grade 10
  • Grade 11 or a relevant equivalent NQF Level 3 qualification will be considered an advantage
  • 2 Years’ relevant experience

IN ADDITION, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMOSTRATE THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND JOB-RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to read, write and follow schedules and instructions
  • Ability to adapt to changes easily
  • Able to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards as they relate to cleaning processes and activities
  • Knowledge of office cleaning processes and procedures
  • Experience in the use of industrial type cleaning machines and equipment (vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, etc.)

Parliament is composed of two houses: the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces. Each house has distinct roles and functions, as outlined in the Constitution, and they work together to promote constitutional values such as human dignity, non-racialism and non-sexism, human rights and freedom.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible to lead and manage the provision of high-quality public policy analysis, monitoring, and evaluation services that inform and strengthen legislative decision-making, oversight, and accountability processes.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Policy Research and Analysis.
  • Policy Advice.
  • Conceptualisation and initiation of Research Projects.
  • Coordination and Management of Core Business Sector Forums.
  • Policy Monitoring & Evaluation.
  • Operations Management.
  • Financial Management and Budgeting.

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Relevant Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy Analysis, Monitoring and evaluation, Behavioural Sciences or equivalent qualification at NQF level 8.
  • Relevant Master’s degree, as an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant specialist experience in public policy analysis and/or monitoring and evaluation of public policy implementation.
