Job Description

Job Summary:

To assist patients in all aspects of the admissions and discharge process in a professional manner, preventing financial risks to the organization and meeting and exceeding client expectations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12.
  • 0-1 years’ experience within private hospital environment as an Admission Clerk. 
  • Administrative Qualification NQF Level 5.
  • Health-related qualification/certificate (advantageous)
  • knowledge of medical/clinical terminology (advantageous) 
  • Knowledge of ICD codes (advantageous)

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Attend to all patients and customers’ needs in a professional manner.
  • Provide information to patients on all aspects of bookings and admissions as per Clinix standards.
  • Obtain all required information and documentation from patients on admission i.e. Identity document and current/valid Medical Scheme card, as per the company policies and procedures.
  • Capture all the required patient information on admission accurately.
  • Complete the discharge process, as and when necessary.
  • Deliver a customer-focused admissions experience in as efficient a manner as possible.
  • Identify and prevent financial risks to the organization by adhering to Company policies and procedures, for example the collection of co-payments and private patient estimate payments on admission.

Job Description

Job Summary:

To deliver an effective case management process and facilitate the communication process between all role-players by providing accurate and timeous clinical information in order to minimize the financial risk for the company.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a finance manager to monitor, coordinate and provide high quality management information and to oversee the financial function of Clinix Naledi Nkanyezi Private Hospital.  

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

  • Business Related Degree
  • CA(SA) or CIMA

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years financial management experience
  • Sound knowledge of International Finance and Accounting Standards (IFRS), including latest amendments in IFRS 9, 15 & 16
  • Computer proficiency – Advanced Excel and SAP non-negotiable
  • Strong technical fluency and proven stakeholder engagement skills.

DELIVERABLES

  • Define and execute an enterprise data strategy, including the establishment and maintenance of robust reporting systems.
  • Ensure the production of accurate and timeous financial management information

  • Ensure Masterfile of Financial information on the approved financial system
  • Prepare Quarterly and Annual Financial statements and supporting working documents

JOB SUMMARY

To take responsibility for overseeing the revenue cycle value chain from a Group perspective which includes identifying improvement opportunities to optimise billing to maximise revenue. This includes the reduction of the Groups financial risk by ensuring compliance to Group policies and procedures including contractual arrangements with Medical Schemes/ funders.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Registration in SANC
  • Business Degree or Theatre/Critical Care Diploma will be advantageous

Minimum Experience

  • Must have 5 – 7  years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Knowledge in Revenue Cycle management

  • In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, review services on SAP to ensure optimization of billings of services
  • Implement effective controls to ensure accurate billing by:
  • Driving the accurate and business billing process to ensure Patient Services metric targets are achieved
  • Ensure accurate application and interpretation of specialized wards criteria.
  • Set goals and standards for patient services managers across the group and monitor for adherence
  • Develop and embed relevant revenue cycle management policies, processes and standards
  • Leverage technology to automate and integrate the workplace; ensure system integrity
  • Analyse data, and interpret the trends to inform sound decision-making and ensure contingency plans are in place
  • Identify innovative ways to improve business practices, processes and synergies to save costs, increase efficiencies and improve service delivery

Patient Services Manager

Job Description

To plan, organize and execute the revenue cycle management at a hospital facility. The incumbent manages a team of specialist that contribute to hospital finances through accurate billing and risk mitigation processes.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in private healthcare.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills along with excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Good management skills.
  • Experience in Billings and Case Management advantageous.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Ensure efficient management Reception, Admissions, Case Management and Billing Auditing departments.
  • Ensure revenue and collection targets are achieved effectively by the department.
  • Monitor and ensure WIP (Work-in-Progress) is within the agreed upon periods.
  • Ensure overall rejections are within the acceptable threshold.
  • Review, audit and sign off on all consignments to ensure accuracy of billing and minimization capital loss.
  • Conduct daily EOC (End of Case) reconciliation to ensure billings are done within the allotted timeframes per funder standards.
  • Ensure case managers follow proper coding protocols to reduce rejection rates.
  • Ensure case managers Maintain up-to-date register of length of stay and update the funders regularly to ensure all services rendered are paid.
  • Lead and drive the accurate and business billing process to ensure Patient Services metric targets are achieved.
  • Analyse data trends relating to rejections and short payments.
  • Ensure all files requested and utilized are in accordance with CHG standards.
