The South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator, established in terms of Section 3 of the Diamonds Amendment Act, 2005 (Act 29 of 2005), aims to regulate the downstream diamond and precious metals industries to ensure equitable access to the diamond and precious metals resources of the Republic. To ensure that they are exploited and developed in the interest of the people of South Africa, to promote local beneficiation and ensure compliance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme. We invite self-motivated and suitably qualified individuals who wish to stand out in their field to apply for the following Internship programme opportunity:
The Chief Executive Officer of the SADPMR hereby invites qualified graduates to join the organisation on a 24-months internship programme in the following field: –

Purpose of the Internship Programme
Aims to equip graduates with essential skills and practical experience in internal auditing, governance, compliance, and risk management. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced Internal Auditors and will be exposed to various audit methodologies aligned with professional audit standards.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- National Diploma, BCom, or Degree in Internal Auditing, Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Attention to detail, integrity, and willingness to learn
Key Responsibilities
Successful interns will be required to:
- Assist in conducting internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan.
- Support audit planning activities including risk assessments and process mapping.
- Participate in audit fieldwork and data gathering exercises.
- Prepare audit working papers, documentation, and evidence files.
- Assist in drafting audit reports, findings, and recommendations.
- Support follow-up audits to track implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain audit records and perform administrative tasks as necessary.
- Demonstrate commitment to learning and compliance with confidentiality requirements.
INSTRUCTIONS: Graduates must be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35. Completed an NQF LEVEL 06 or Degree in the above-mentioned discipline.
