This position is responsible for establishing and administering a program that focuses on environmental, economic and social sustainability. The Assistant Director will work with internal and external contacts to develop policies, programs and oversee projects that benefit the long-term industrialisation of the Nelson Mandela Bay economy. The incumbent will be responsible for industry support and promoting investments within the manufacturing and renewable energy industry. This may include presenting opportunities in a wide range of manufacturing and renewable energy projects such as assembling, processing, wind farm development, small scale hydro, biomass, solar and tidal. Experience in the investment promotion environment including an involvement in development issues covering business cases, etc. is desirable.
