DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Obtain daily and weekly work instructions from Shift/Team Supervisor and prepares and plans work priority lists and resource requirements in order to complete tasks.
- Ensure accurate understanding of the roofbolting plan and sequence and ensure that all equipment and consumable requirements are communicated to Shift/Team Supervisor to complete allocated work tasks.
- Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility.
- Position safety jacks to support underground mine roofs until bolts can be installed.
- Operate the Roofbolt according to required standards to drill bolt holes into roofs at specified distances from ribs or adjacent bolts and test bolts for specified tension.
- Continuously report and capture all required roofbolt information on the on-board computer.
- Continuously ensure that required roofbolt consumables are in place and that water and diesel requirements are met as per safe standard operating procedures.
- Provide information during shift handovers if needed to ensure the synchronized functionality of operations.
- Performs regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment is safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Inspects the vehicle at the start of a shift for safety deviations according to a standard inspection checklist and reports any deviations to the Supervisor.
- Operates the LHD to load waste and ore at the required location and ensures that the LHD is not under or overloaded.
- Hauls the waste or ore to the required location and tips the load at the waste dump or ore crusher as required and according to instructions from the Supervisor.
- Identifies maintenance problems of the vehicle and reports such problems to the Supervisor in a timeous and accurate manner.
- Communicates any problems experienced and risks identified during shift with other Operators on shift in a timeous and accurate manner to maximize shift efficiency and ensures the safety of other Operators.
- Assists in achieving production targets and identify opportunities to improve operations.
- Conducts risk assessments as per the check list book.
