QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- The successful candidate must have Grade 12 with 3-5 years’ experience in a Supervisory /
Managerial role and knowledge of the long-Distance Transport industry. - A Relevant tertiary qualification in the logistic field will be an added advantage.
- Good, interpersonal, leadership, motivation planning, and communicating (verbal & written)
skills as well as bilingualism will be essential.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Management of the assets and staff under your control and the meeting of objectives set in the
budget process. Maximum Utilization of Vehicles, planning of loads, routes, fuel, overnight
locations etc. - Service Level Agreements are met between MacDonald’s Transport and its customers.
- Assets and staff comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
- Accident / Incident investigation and submission of all documentation.
- Ensuring that all equipment / machinery is serviced within the allowed service intervals and
planned COF’s updated. - Maintaining of a high level of discipline, within the operations.
- Ensuring staff under your control maintain high level of service to customers.
- Preparation and submission of leave schedules in such a manner as to not effect customer
requirements. - Administrative duties and Document control. Solving of queries and problem solving
- Management of Drive-Cam as well as Tracking reports.
- Deadline Driven
- Submission of Monthly Management reports
- Must be willing to work Long hours and on Weekend if and when required.

Supervisor: Workshop

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills.

- Qualified Diesel and motor Mechanic
- Sound Knowledge of Scania and Volvo and Mercedes Trucks
- Sound knowledge of trailer maintenance (Flat Deck, Tipper and Tanker experience)
- Knowledge of wheel alignment (Preference Haweka)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to cope with pressure depending on work volumes.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Accurate and attention to detail orientated.
- Must be driven and energetic.
- Computer Literacy
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that all workshops, operational functions, and implementation are effectively handled.
- Ensure all repairs and duties are performed as needed.
- Proactive problem identification of possible truck defects.
- Ensure all trailers and vehicles are roadworthy and comply with regulations of the Road Traffic

SEMI-SKILLED ARTISAN (TRAILER MECHANIC)

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The successful candidate must have Grade 12, a minimum of 5 years’ relevant diesel technical
experience. Must be a good communicator (verbal & written), with knowledge of the Health & Safety
requirements. The person must have the ability to function independently and in a team. The person
must have experience in maintenance on truck trailers and must have experience in welding. Must be
prepared to work after hours and weekends. Must be able to work under pressure. Valid Code 14
driver’s license.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Ensure that worksheets are completed correct.
- Ensure that workshop is neat and tidy.

DRIVER: TRAINER
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Grade 12
- Train the trainer certification.
- Assessor & Moderator certificate and registration with TETA would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years previous truck driving experience (Super links)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training and coaching long-distance drivers.
- In-depth knowledge of the operating and legislation requirements of the transport and logistics
industry. - Excellent communication skills in English/Afrikaans (speaking, reading and writing).
- Knowledge of TETA accredited training requirements would be an advantage.
- Code EC (14) driver’s license with no endorsements.
- Valid PDP.
- Must be willing to travel with other drivers for a duration of at least 4 weeks in order to conduct
on the job coaching. - Must have working knowledge/experience of Super links (Tippers, Flat-decks, Drop-side Trailers)
- Must have working knowledge/experience of Scania and Volvo manufactured vehicles (6×4 truck
tractor)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To conduct classroom training, on-road training/coaching and driver assessments in line with
company requirements, in order to ensure that all professional drivers employed by the
organization meet performance standards and requirements. - Assist with the preparation and scheduling of training interventions.
- Manage driver training programs (classroom and on-road training) for new and existing
professional drivers. Conduct relevant assessments on professional drivers which may, as part
of your duties, include classroom assessment, benchmark assessments against company
requirements/policies (Short routes and long distance) - Develop and prepare contract specific appendices (including Safe working Procedures and
Planned job Observations) - Develop and prepare contract specific appendices (including Safe working Procedures and
Planned job Observations). - Report on all training interventions and submit documentation (incl. attendance registers, and
driver assessment documentation) on a weekly basis. - Ensure that the vehicle is utilized optimally and to address fuel consumption queries, driving

CLERK: SUBS

The ideal Candidates must be, friendly and service orientated. Grade 12 and computer literacy in the
Microsoft Office Package with three years relevant experience will be essential. Excellent administrative

MANAGER: TIPPER OPERATIONS

Skills and Qualifications:

Key Accountabilities:
- Management of all assets (min. 45 Vehicles) and staff under your control and the meeting of
objectives set in the budget process, reporting to management any negative deviance in revenue and
or cost and putting together action plans with responsibilities and timelines should the business unit
under your control not meet the budgeted requirements objectives and the service requirements of
our customers. - Plan vehicle routes and conduct load planning, track vehicles hourly, communicate with drivers to
ensure that instructions are conveyed to meet company and customer objectives. - Ensure all vehicles are equipped with the necessary equipment to transport customer products and
that you keep schedules of equipment on vehicles together with replacement schedules to minimize
loss, record keeping and maintaining of schedules on standing times. - Managing fuel consumption by vehicle and investigate the causes in deviances in fuel consumption,
counsel drivers with excessive fuel consumption with regards to excessive speeds, excessive idling
and required training identified and action taken. - Assets and staff comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
- Accident / Incident investigation and submission of all documentation.
- Ensuring that all equipment / machinery / vehicles and trailers are serviced within the allowed
service intervals. - Ensure planned COF’s updated and downtime is minimized.
- Ensure that all POD’s are completed correctly and submitted timeously and in full, loads are
captured, and documentation is handled in such a manner that invoicing to and payment by the
customer is not delayed. - Maintaining of a high level of discipline, within the operations, under your control.
- Preparation and Submission of leave schedules in such a manner as to not affect the operation and
customer requirements. - Administrative duties, document control and solving of queries.
- Management of Tracking systems.
- Deadline Driven.
- Ensuring Daily, Weekly and Monthly feedback and reports are submitted in time regarding the
Business unit under your control. - Must be willing to work long hours and on weekend if and when required.
