·       Minimum of a National Diploma (NQF level 6 ) in Social Sciences i.e. Development Studies, Development Planning, Community Development, Development Economics, Rural/Regional  and Urban Planning, Social Impact Assessment, Agriculture, Sustainable Development and a formal qualification in Programme/Project Management.

·       A minimum of 4 years project / programme management experience preferably in Social Development field.

·       An unendorsed Code EB (Code 08) drivers licence or equivalent

 ·       Registration with the relevant relevant professional council as a professional somebody will be an added advantage. 

·       Candidate to be legible to be professionally registered within 12 Months after appointment.

·       An unendorsed Code EB (Code 08) drivers licence or equivalent.

·       Project management

·       Development facilitation

·       Working knowledge of PFMA, Treasury SCM regulation,

·       Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality assurance

·       Community/Social development (e.g.Education, Health, Justice, Economic, Environment, Social Welfare)  knowledge

·       Community/Social development norms and standards

·       Community/Social development approaches, methodologies and tools

Confirmation of appointment will be subject to the applicant undergoing verification checks and confirmation of the applicant’s qualifications. It is the responsibility of applicants to have any foreign qualifications verified by the South African Qualifications Authority. The IDT will respond only to shortlisted candidates, who will be interviewed on a date and at a time specified by the IDT. The IDT reserves the right not to appoint anyone to the above post, and to withdraw them, re-advertise them or fill them by way of transfer or deployment if this is considered in the interests of service delivery.
