Officer: Investigations Mediation Adjudication (Contract)

Vacancy: Officer – Investigations, Mediation Adjudication

Location: Head Office (Sandton)

Overall Responsibilities:

The Officer: Investigations Mediation Adjudication is responsible for conducting investigations on complaints against Property Practitioners and institute disciplinary proceedings against offending Property Practitioners where required and manage and control the Property Fidelity Fund. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum LLB degree or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar environment.
  • Must be an admitted Attorney and served articles or an Advocate and served pupillage. 
  • 1 years post articles and or pupillage will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in mediations, investigation and adjudication and court processes.
  • Knowledge of the Property Practitioners Act and Estate Agency Affairs Act 112/1976.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing the real estate sector and Framework skills development.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Property Practitioners Act (PPA).
  • Good background knowledge and understanding of government policy and legal compliance issues in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Review and accurately categorise complaints from Consumers and Property Practitioners.
  • Investigate and consider complaints from the Consumers and Property Practitioners.
  • Establish disciplinary and adjudication proceedings required for the complaint.
  • Ensure submitted complaints are completed within turnaround times.
  • Mediate and adjudicate complaints from the Consumers and Property Practitioners.
  • Conduct disciplinary hearings and adjudication proceedings.
  • Prosecuting before a disciplinary committee and adjudicators.
  • Presenting Appeals lodged by parties to the complaints.
  • Prepare detailed factual findings and reports on the investigations, mediation adjudication and appeals.
  • Compile and manage legal correspondence.
  • Provide legal advice limited to the Property Practitioners Act.
  • Give advise to Clients of the correct forum to resolve matters where the PPRA does not have jurisdiction.
  • Prepare monthly reports on work done.

Remuneration: 
Market-related remuneration.

Term of Appointment:
Contract until 31 July 2026.

Officer: Education and Professional Designation Examination (Permanent) x3

Vacancy: Officer – Education and Professional Designation Examination (Permanent) x3

Location: Head Office (Sandton)

Overall Responsibilities:

The Officer: Education and PDE is responsible for ensuring the implementation of Education and PDE plans, systems, processes and procedures. The incumbent in this role is responsible for the implementation of the Professional Designation Examinations (PDE) in line with SAQA and industry requirements.

Requirements:

  • A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Education, Training and Development Practices or HR Development or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar environment.
  • Advantageous: A Bachelors degree, Registered SDF; Assessor and Moderator, Previous invigilating experience, Previous Marking experience, and Assessments and Moderation experience.
  • Legislative requirements and framework – NQF Act, Skills Development legislation and Property Practitioners Act and its Regulations.
  • Knowledgeable about educational regulations and standards.
  • Learning Material and Assessment Design knowledge.
  • Excellent understanding of available education and training programmes and systems.
  • Computer literacy -MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer) at an intermediate level.
  • Experience Working on Learning Management System.
  • Public engagement with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Facilitate the implementation of Education and PDE plans, programmes, systems, processes and procedures.
  • Provide information to stakeholders, property consumers, and provide the necessary support.
  • Conduct project administration and record keeping.
  • Administered education-related requests and stakeholder applications.
  • Support the optimisation of the section/unit.
  • Verify accreditation status of qualifications and training providers.
  • Perform quality assurance functions relating to education and training processes.
  • Maintain stakeholder databases and or records.
  • Prepare and compile education and training-related reports.
  • Resolve stakeholder queries.
