Videographer Internship X2

DEPARTMENT: SAST TV – PRODUCTION
REPORTING TO: ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
SALARY: R6 270,00 P/M
PERIOD: CONTRACT BASED

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Assist in capturing video content for
    productions, rehearsals, and events
  • Support camera setup, framing, lighting,
    and basic audio capture
  • Assist with filming interviews, behind-thescenes, and promotional content
  • Support editing and assembly of content for
    SAST TV and digital platforms
  • Operate and assist with basic video
    equipment and accessories
  • Assist in managing media files, footage
    backups, and storage systems
  • Support planning and execution of video
    shoots and production schedules
  • Ensure all video outputs align with SAST visual
    standards and brand guidelines
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organised
    equipment setups
  • Assist in recording and preparing footage
    for post-production use

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • National Diploma / Degree in:
  • Film & Television Production
  • Videography
  • Media Studies or equivalent
  • 0–2 years experience (student work /
    freelance / portfolio required)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Basic camera operation and video
    recording techniques
  • Understanding of framing, lighting, and
    composition
  • Basic video editing skills (Premiere Pro /
    After Effects / similar)
  • Ability to capture content in dynamic
    production environments
  • Strong attention to detail and visual
    awareness
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and
    meet deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork
    skills
  • Hands-on, technically inclined approach
  • Basic computer and media file
    management skills
  • Ability to take direction and maintain
    focus under pressure

Sound technician Internship

CLOSING DATE: 13 APRIL 2026
DEPARTMENT: SAST TV – PRODUCTION
REPORTING TO: ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
SALARY: R6 270,00 P/M
PERIOD: CONTRACT BASED

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Assist in setting up and operating sound
    and backline equipment for rehearsals and
    performances
  • Support sound checks, line checks, and
    audio level balancing
  • Assist with recording audio for productions
    and events
  • Support operation of sound playback
    systems (e.g. QLab)
  • Assist in maintaining clear communication
    systems (headsets, radios)
  • Ensure performers are audible and sound
    quality is maintained
  • Assist with equipment setup, strike, and safe
    handling
  • Support basic maintenance of sound
    equipment and cables
  • Assist in maintaining equipment inventory
    and storage
  • Ensure compliance with OHS and safety
    standards

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • National Diploma / Degree in:
  • Theatre Arts Design
  • Sound Engineering
  • Audio Production or equivalent
  • 0–2 years experience (student
    productions / live events advantageous)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Basic understanding of live sound and
    audio systems
  • Familiarity with sound equipment and
    setup processes
  • Basic knowledge of audio recording and
    playback software
  • Good hearing and attention to sound
    detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in live
    environments
  • Strong teamwork and communication
    skills
  • Hands-on, technically inclined approach
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain
    focus
  • Basic computer literacy

Producer Internship

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of
    film, television, and theatre productions
  • Support pre-production, production, and
    post-production processes
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, and
    production administration
  • Coordinate communication between
    creative, technical, and production teams
  • Support content development and
    execution for SAST TV and stage productions
  • Assist in managing production
    documentation, call sheets, and reports
  • Contribute to creative development and
    production planning sessions
  • Ensure production processes align with SAST
    standards and timelines

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • National Diploma / Degree in:
  • Media Studies
  • Film & Television Production
  • Performing Arts
  • Theatre Production
  • Communication & Journalism
  • 0–1 year experience (internships /
    student productions advantageous)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Understanding of production processes
    (pre, production, post)
  • Basic knowledge of film, TV, or theatre
    workflows
  • Ability to support scheduling, logistics,
    and coordination
  • Strong organisational and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and
    meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and structured
    execution
  • Strong communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work under pressure in fastpaced environments
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Passion for film, television, theatre, and

Graphic designer Internship

DEPARTMENT: SAST TV / PR & MARKETING
REPORTING TO: ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
SALARY: R6 270,00 P/M
PERIOD: CONTRACT BASE

KEY PERFORMAMNCE AREAS:

  • Assist in the design and development of
    corporate, marketing, and production
    material for SAST and SAST TV
  • Create visual content for print, digital, and
    social media platforms
  • Support the rollout of campaigns,
    programmes, and institutional
    communications
  • Contribute to creative concept
    development and brainstorming sessions
  • Assist with website updates and digital
    content alignment
  • Prepare artwork for print production (CMYK,
    layout, formatting, specs)
  • Ensure all work complies with the SAST
    Corporate Identity Manual
  • Assist with image editing, retouching, and
    visual enhancements
  • Work collaboratively with marketing,
    production, and creative teams
  • Support internal workflows including mockups, revisions, and approvals

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • National Diploma / Degree in:
  • Graphic Design
  • Visual Communication
  • Multimedia / Digital Design
  • Fine Arts
  • 0–1 year experience (internships / freelance
    work advantageous)

    fundamentals
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
  • Print and digital production knowledge
