What you’ll own

  • Ensure every customer interaction reflects a commitment to first‑time, ideal solutions and drive adherence to all required policies, procedures, and Center of Excellence (COE) standards.
  • Ensure timely acknowledgement, handling, and closure of all inbound and outbound calls, trace requests, and network inquiries within global timeframes.
  • Monitor global KPIs to maintain exceptional service performance and full operational alignment.
  • Keep customers and network partners updated throughout trace investigations to manage expectations effectively.
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and other teams to secure the best commercial solutions that promote customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, technology, service offerings, and escalate insights to the appropriate teams.
  • Manage all CS systems at country level to ensure correct usage, performance, and effective trace allocation.
  • Continuously review and reprioritise workloads to ensure timely closure of trace investigations, service changes, and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Ensure all traces meet Quality File standards and that customer communication is handled only via MCT.
  • Complete monthly audits across all COE elements relevant to the role.
  • Monitor root causes of traces, complaints, and claims, provide feedback to the business, and drive corrective actions in line with COE guidelines.
  • Identify service improvement areas and recommend practical solutions to enhance DHL’s procedures, technology, and overall customer experience.
  • Produce accurate, complete reports and data as required, ensuring management receives all insights needed for analysis and decision‑making.
  • Ensure correct usage of all DHL application tools including GEMA, SHERLOC, MCT, CSV, OPMS/C, SCMS, SPARK, GCCU/WFM, and adherence to schedules and AUX codes
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate a high‑performing team, ensuring proper staffing for daily functions and projects.
  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and cultural role modelling aligned to DHL ICCC and CIM behaviours.
  • Implement development plans, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations; recommend compensation adjustments and apply disciplinary processes fairly.
  • Conduct daily PD sessions (except during insufficient staffing periods) and maintain an open‑door policy to support transparency and trust.
  • Drive engagement through initiatives and campaigns, identify high‑potential employees, and ensure succession planning for key roles
  • Hold monthly team meetings with documented agendas, actions, and follow‑ups.
  • Support any other functions required to ensure smooth, effective Customer Service operations aligned with network standards.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ call centre operations experience with strong knowledge of call centre systems.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising a team.
  • Experience managing customer interactions across non‑voice channels (email, chat, social media) is an advantage.
  • Strong presentation, training, and facilitation capabilities.
  • Solid operational knowledge of the DHL network.
  • Proficiency in DHL systems including SPARK, GEMA, MCT, CSV, KART, E‑Case, OPMS/C, SID.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and spoken Business English.

Role Outline

To ensure that all procedures pertaining to all functions within the Inventory and quality department are carried out with the utmost professionalism. Serve as the key liaison between the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teams. In this Ocean Freight Import Controller Position

 

  • Provide front line contact with customer and maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Manage the clients requirements outlined on client SOP

Job Title: Warehouse Sort Agent

Reporting To:  Duty Operations Supervisor

Location: CPT Gateway

Role Context:

Responsible for efficiently clearing inbound and outbound WPX shipments and international documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and shelve inventory accurately, ensuring export documentation for WPX is prepared correctly for smooth network movement.
  • Clear inbound material within 45 minutes of aircraft arrival and verify collected cargo against pre‑alerts, sending upliftment details to destinations.
  • Label and shelve high/low‑value shipments, update SIS, and perform daily store and inventory checks to maintain accuracy.
  • Monitor bonded shipments, ensuring items older than 14 days are moved to the state warehouse and reported.
  • Coordinate multi‑shelf shipments, provide store‑check feedback, and ensure timely dispatch of labelled cargo according to destination codes.
  • Process, scan, and route shipments (international, WPX, NCY, COY) with correct destination codes, ensuring upliftment and CIA requirements are met.
  • Lodge materials with airlines or road haulers, follow up on upliftment, and attach accurate release documents and invoices.
  • Verify shipment piece counts, ensure correct documentation is drawn, and process RIB shipments using correct MWP codes with AWB references in comments.
  • Conduct daily bond reconciliations, resolve inventory discrepancies, and ensure paperwork and bagging accuracy.
  • Ensure prompt shelving and scanning of Bond shipments, including grouping multiple‑piece shipments and prioritising CSIB‑cleared items.
  • Perform re‑weighing for OB DOX/WPX shipments and capture manual volumetrics for oversized pieces.
  • Comply with all Global SOP, security protocols, and Part 108 requirements.
  • Report damaged, open, or torn shipments and ensure they are documented and sorted to DHL standards.
  • Prepare accurate AWBs and breakdowns for airlines, ensuring correct weights, dimensions, and timely drawing of parcel documents for Imports.
  • Validate missing documents via GIA, move pre‑cleared shipments promptly, and update DCVS for diversions.
  • Complete bond reconciliation and GSOP‑compliant departure reporting and ensure timecard completion.
  • Coordinate inbound flight offloading and outbound cargo loading, ensuring compliance with customs procedures and GSOP standards.
  • Load cages, bags, ULDs/PMCs with correct tags, ensure seals are managed with Security, remove outdated markings, and comply with weight limits (20kg bags / 50kg heavyweight section).
  • Screen goods before lodgement and support safe loading/offloading of vehicles.
  • Assist with operational and administrative tasks outside core duties to support business needs.

  • Review and support installation, service, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems at sites by field service and technical support team
  • Implement new services and changes to existing services in the production/ development environments.
  • Suggest modifications to technical service restorations and troubleshooting procedures for identifying, testing and diagnosing computer system and peripheral equipment faults
  • Assess product/ equipment performance based on field support data, and recommend modifications or improvements
  • Interpret technical or procedure manuals on behalf of non-technical users and provide routine training in normal usage of systems, products and services
  • Act as subject matter expert for other infrastructure services sub-teams for chosen specialty and assist with problem resolution and project completion, as needed
  • Align and comply with infrastructure standards provided or set by global standards organizations such as ITSS
  • Resolve and analyze issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices, processes and protocols for IT infrastructure and system focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/ new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed.

In this Executive PA Position

Efficiently manage and organize the Country Manager’s calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, conferences while optimizing their time and prioritizing time effectively.
Coordinate schedules among Executive and Senior Management team
Arrange and facilitate meetings, ensuring all parties can attend.
Support SMT in planning and coordinating special projects & events.
Represent the Country Manager in various internal and external engagements, exercising sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
Prepare and review documents, presentations, board packs and reports with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Handle travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and itinerary planning for business trips and events.
Rearrange schedules to accommodate last-minute changes and emergency cancellations.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
Act as a reliable point of contact for the Country Manager, demonstrating professionalism and excellent communication skills in all interactions.
Serve as a liaison between the Country Manager and staff. This includes receiving and screening the CM’s phone calls and visitors, answering a variety of questions with tact and diplomacy, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately for resolution.
Keep the CM advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Propose marketing/branding for ZA. ▪ Assist with research and writing reports, or independently writing reports on behalf of upper-level management.

Prepare documents for external or internal communications.

  • Initiate, support and follow-up corrective actions where & when needed. Be party to regional initiatives & support country initiatives aimed in achieving planned objectives in respect to all programs in each period.

  • Lead the management of Training requirements in all areas within functional scope.

  • Actively work with functions such as Solutions Design on opportunity assessment and BCA development for complex robotics /automation projects.
  • Work with the Country Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure that appropriate internal resources have been allocated to each AD implementation project where BCA has been approved.
  • Plans, manage the delivery of complex business projects within schedule and budget whilst minimizing inherent project risks.
  • Delivery of customer solutions if applicable to the project assigned and ensure customer loyalty is enhanced.
  • Assist in developing and prioritising projects to support on-going programs or initiatives to improve the business, systems, applications, toolkit and infrastructure, service quality and operations efficiency across the Network project portfolio.
  • Generates solutions to address business challenges.
  • Critically evaluates the potential shortcomings of solutions and identifies ways to alleviate and manage the long-term implications.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a senior leadership or management role 
  • Proven experience in EDI interface design and build for supply chain based on customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong background in configuration of EDI connections for integration enablement.
  • Hands-on experience with EDIFACT/VDA mapping and message analysis
  • OEM industry knowledge.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external teams.
  • Solid project management and facilitation skills.
