We’re strengthening our Finance Business Partnering capability to support growth, scale and better decision‑making across the organisation. This role goes beyond partnering the business. It’s about leading people, setting direction, and raising the standard of insight we deliver to executives.
As a Finance Business Partner Team Lead, we’ll rely on you to lead a team of finance professionals, partner closely with senior leaders, and turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insight that shapes strategy and outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, creating a high‑performance, accountable environment.
- Partner with executives and senior leaders to support strategy, planning, and decision‑making across multiple portfolios.
- Translate business drivers into meaningful financial insight that influences direction and outcomes.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and performance management cycles.
- Guide complex financial modelling, scenario analysis and strategic investment evaluation.
- Ensure strong financial governance, quality reporting and disciplined delivery against business plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in how finance partners with the business.

What We’re Looking For
- Professional designation is mandatory (CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent).
- Honours degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 5–7+ years’ experience in finance, including substantial business partnering or financial planning and analysis experience.
- At least 2–3 years in a leadership or team management role, leading or supervising finance professionals.
- Proven track record of partnering with senior management and delivering insights at executive level.
- Experience managing multiple portfolios or complex financial planning processes.
- Strong exposure to strategic planning, budget cycles and executive‑level financial reporting.
- Experience with scenario analysis, contract modelling or strategic investment evaluation.
- Comfortable operating in a high‑performance environment with accountability for delivery against business objectives.

What You’ll Do
- Partner with senior leaders to support planning, performance tracking and decision-making.
- Translate business drivers into clear financial insight that informs action.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and management reporting cycles.
- Provide commercial analysis that helps manage risk and support sustainable growth.
- Use financial models and driver‑based analysis to test scenarios and improve outcomes.

What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified CA(SA) or CIMA (CGMA) professional.
- Honours Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience (post-articles) in finance, with a strong focus on financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, or business partnering.
- Proven experience partnering with the business and delivering financial insights to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making .
- Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and management reporting.
- Strong financial modelling capability, including driver-based analysis, scenario modelling, and strategic investment evaluation.
- Experience working across complex portfolios or multi-divisional environments, with an understanding of cross-functional financial integration.
- Solid understanding of financial governance, regulatory frameworks, and IFRS (advantageous, depending on portfolio) .
- Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and planning tools.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to team capability, including mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
