JOB PURPOSE:
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and employees at the refinery, responsible for managing front-desk operations, handling inquiries, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric Certificate (NQF4)
- Certificate in Office Administration / End user Computing / Customer Service.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience as a receptionist or performing related functions.
DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:
- Strong principles of front-desk operations and office management
- Telephone etiquette and professional communication
- Knowledge on visitor management protocols
- Familiarity with confidentiality and information security policies
- Understanding protocols for engaging with high-level executives, government officials and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with Refinery operations or industrial workplace procedures is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Switchboard system, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Front Desk management
- Greet and direct visitors, ensuring compliance with refinery security protocols.
- Answer and route incoming calls professionally.
- Maintain visitor logs and issue access badges according to security policies.
- Receive deliveries and inform relevant employees of its arrival
- Coordinate the delivery or collection of items
Administrative support
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, mail, and deliveries).
- Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating conference room bookings.
- Maintain and update contact lists and office records.
- Support office procurement by managing stationery and office supplies.
Customer service and communication
- Address general inquiries from visitors, employees, and stakeholders.
- Communicate refinery-related notices and updates to employees.
- Handle complaints or direct them to the appropriate department for resolution.
Operational Support
- Assist in organizing company events, workshops, or training sessions.
- Provide administrative support to HR, finance, and other departments as needed.
- Maintain the reception area’s cleanliness and professional appearance.

General Manager: Legacy Entities

JOB PURPOSE:
To lead, coordinate, and oversee the development of an integrated business case and an integrated financial model that identifies all the financial and operational challenges of the Legacy entities and their impact on the Group and proposed viable solutions. Provide strategic direction, structured programme oversight, integrated change management, and cross-functional alignment.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric and Honours degree (NQF8) in Engineering / Finance/ Business Administration / Organizational Development or related field.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in organisational transformation and strategy execution and of which 1 to 3 years’ experience in enterprise programme management, project management and project and development finance.
- Master’s degree (NQF 9) in Engineering / Finance/ Business Administration / Organizational Development or related field will serve as an added advantage.
DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:
- Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives (preferably in a public-entity or highly regulated environment).
- Strong experience in stakeholder management, executive facilitation, and turnaround leadership.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and external providers
- Experience in Change Management, Programme/Project Management, or Agile will serve as an added advantage.

- Lead, coordinate, and oversee the identification and implementation of financial issues and risks within the legacy entities and develop focus on targeted solutionsfor legacy challenges e.g., integrated business case to turnaround the PetroSA refinery and addressal of the decommissioning liability
- Lead complex, multi-dimensional turnaround programmes comprising numerous discrete initiatives.
- Apply a structured methodology to ensure disciplined turnaround execution and alignment with organisational turnaround objectives.
- Facilitate effective reporting, risk identification, issue resolution, and escalation processes across all workstreams.
- Manage initiative prioritisation to ensure the highest-value interventions receive focus and resources.

Manage financial and resource requirements for turnaround initiatives

Fire Fighter (Level 2): Two year Fixed-Term Contract

JOB PURPOSE:
To protect refinery personnel, assets, and the environment by responding to emergencies, preventing fire risks, and maintaining safety and readiness standards.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in emergency services of which 3 years’ experience must have been performing Firefighting related duties/functions.
- Experience in a Petroleum Refinery will serve as an added advantage.
- Fire Fighter 1 (SAESI accredited) (NFPA 1001) and Fire Fighter 2 (SAESI accredited) (NFPA 1001) are desirable.
- Hazmat operations (NFPA 1072/472).
- First Aid Level 3 will serve as an added advantage.
- Pump operator certificate is an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, hazardous material incidents and other emergencies within the refinery.
- Perform fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical operations under the direction of a superior.
- Support the safe evacuation of refinery personnel during emergencies.
- Manage advanced fire suppression and hazardous material situations
- Act as team lead in emergency situations.
Fire Prevention and Inspection
- Conduct regular inspections of fire equipment, including extinguishers, hydrants, and alarms, to ensure they are operational.
- Identify and report fire hazards, unsafe practices, or conditions within the refinery.
- Assist in fire risk assessments and implementation of preventive measures.
- Environmental monitoring & other related activities to ensure safe operations. (FLIR Camera scans).
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain firefighting tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and vehicles to always ensure readiness.
- Conduct routine checks and minor repairs of fire hoses, nozzles, pumps, and SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus).
- Performs preventative maintenance with routine station duties as directed to maintain the cleanliness, readiness and appearance of apparatus, equipment and fire station.
Training and Drills
- Develop and deliver training programmes
- Coordinate the training process
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work in coordination with other emergency response teams and refinery departments during incidents.
- Document incidents and provide detailed reports on firefighting and emergency response activities.
