Description

The incumbent in the Agency Account Executive role would be required to find new business, grow portfolio and client relationships and achieve monthly targets.

Revenue Growth and Sales Targets

  • Meeting or exceeding sales quotas: Achieving specific sales targets (monthly, quarterly, yearly) in terms of revenue or the number of accounts closed.
  • Upselling and cross-selling: Identifying opportunities to upsell existing clients or cross-sell additional products or services.
  • New business acquisition: Securing new clients through cold calling, networking, and relationship-building efforts.

Client Retention and Satisfaction

  • Maintaining high client retention rates: Ensuring clients renew contracts or continue using services by providing exceptional service and value.
  • Increasing customer satisfaction: Conducting regular check-ins and collecting feedback to ensure the clients’ needs are met, improving loyalty and advocacy.

Strategic Account Planning

  • Creating and executing strategic account plans: Developing plans for each key account to grow relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and addressing potential risks.
  • Regular account reviews: Conducting quarterly or bi-annual reviews with clients to assess performance and discuss future opportunities.

Operational Efficiency and Reporting

  • Maintaining accurate reporting: Keeping up-to-date records, tracking communications, opportunities, and pipeline activities. Pipeline to always have 3 times coverage to achieve monthly targets
  • Managing time effectively: Prioritising accounts and ensuring timely follow-ups to avoid missed opportunities.

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Working closely with other departments: Collaborating with Marketing, Technical, Creative Solutions and Programming teams to provide clients with holistic solutions.
  • Contributing to team knowledge: Sharing learnings and best practices to help improve the overall performance of the sales team.

Description

Inventory Movement 

  • Verifying dispatched and received assets against the assets on the Picking List.
  • Ensuring that gear is barcoded.
  • Completing asset check lists and handing over the picked assets to the client during gear check.
  • Ensuring that gear being received is identified and logged on the picking list.

Dispatching and Receiving 

  • Ensuring that gear being dispatched is in good working order.
  • Ensuring that picking lists and any other documentation are completed and signed off after the gear check is completed.
  • Assisting with loading gear in vehicles, when and if required.
  • Ensuring that when gear is received it is in good working order and that the dispatched kits are complete as per the dispatch check sheets.
  • Ensuring that all return documents are to be signed-off by client / client’s representative upon Despatch and Return of Gear and equipment.
  • Escalating issues with returned equipment to the relevant Departments and/or Supervisors.
  • Notifying Supervisor of any damages or discrepancies and/or missing equipment once gear is received.
  • Following the established missing and damages procedures, when and if required. 

Stock Taking 

  • Assisting with Company stock take. 

Generator Operations and On-Set Servicing 

  • Operating generators and ensuring supply of electrical power and lighting to film shoots in various locations.
  • Checking of gear and the distribution package timeously.
  • Rigging up generators, distribution boxes and cables as requested by the client.
  • Ensuring that electrical power to set is uninterrupted.

Client Liaisons

  • Initiating, conceptualizing and presenting proposals relevant to clients advertising objectives.

  • Provide post-campaign analysis and ROI reporting to clients.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client details using CRM tools.
  • Submit complete, accurate sales reports and revenue forecasts in line with internal deadlines.
  • Ensure all billing contracts are correctly completed and submitted, avoiding rework or discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • National Diploma – Sales/Marketing/General – Essential 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years Sales and/or Marketing experience is essential. 

    A minimum of 2 years experience in a Account Executive / Key Account / Business Development role within Media and/or Broadcasting is advantageous.
