MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mining Engineering Diploma/Degree is desirable.

To safely load and transport ore, material by means of a Skid Steer Loader.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential.
  • Skid Steer Operator Certificate is essential.
  • 1-year underground experience within the mining environment is essential

COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrate understanding of the importance of safe and efficient transport processes in an underground hard rock environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the most common harmful gases and vapors.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the relevant terminology used in mining-range of underground hard rock.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of customer service.
  • Operate a Skid Steer Loader underground.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check Mobile Equipment at start of shift and at end of shift for any defects.
  • Operates the Mobile Equipment in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Maintains the Mobile Equipment in good order
  • Transports materials by means of a Steer Loader in an underground workplace.
  • Takes charge of and drives a trackless mobile machine in an underground mine.
  • Adheres to rules and regulations of underground transport.
  • Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimization.
  • Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety.
  • Performs regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment is safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.

This role is responsible for the financial management, control, and reporting of capital and project-related expenditure. The successful candidate will support Project Managers by ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and compliance with applicable accounting standards. The role further ensures the effective utilisation of SAP project systems and adherence to governance and internal control requirements across the project lifecycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Financial or Management Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
  • Experience in project or capital expenditure accounting is essential.
  • Exposure to mining, refining or other capital-intensive industries will be advantageous.
  • SAP Project Systems (PS), FI and CO knowledge and experience required.
  • Sound understanding of IFRS, particularly fixed assets and capitalisation principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and control financial aspects of capital and project-related expenditure, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • Maintain SAP Project Systems (PS) structures and ensure accurate processing of project transactions.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditure, perform variance analysis, and report on project financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate capitalisation of assets, including Asset Under Construction (AUC) management and asset commissioning.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to Project Managers and relevant governance structures.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, financial policies, and governance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, including year-end reporting requirements.
  • Provide SAP and financial support to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
