Analytics Engineer II_Pipeline

Purpose of the role

We need this role because reliable analytics depend on well‑designed, well‑tested data foundations. We turn raw, complex data into structured, business‑ready datasets that teams can trust every day. This role exists to ensure data models, pipelines and semantic layers are built to perform, scale and support meaningful decision‑making across the business.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build and maintain production‑ready data models that transform raw data into usable datasets
  • Develop scalable data transformations with strong validation, testing and quality controls
  • Create and optimise semantic layers and aggregation logic that support reporting and analysis
  • Maintain and troubleshoot live data models, resolving incidents and improving performance
  • Lead and influence design decisions, balancing quality, speed and long‑term sustainability
  • Support and guide less experienced engineers through reviews, documentation and practical coaching

The team and how work gets done

We work at the point where data becomes usable. The focus is on structuring, modelling and supporting data that feeds reporting and insights across multiple teams. Collaboration is key, with regular engagement across engineering, analytics and architecture. The work directly affects how quickly questions can be answered and how confidently decisions can be made.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 5 years’ experience in analytics engineering or a closely related data role
  • Proven experience delivering and supporting production data models and pipelines
  • Strong data modelling capability and confidence designing business‑ready datasets
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience using Python for data transformation or automation
  • Experience building, testing and deploying data transformations using structured release practices
  • Experience working on cloud data platforms and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
  • A solid understanding of data quality, governance and documentation
  • Experience influencing technical decisions and working closely with stakeholders
  • A bachelor’s degree in analytics, data, engineering, STEM or a related field

Purpose Statement

Experience

Minimum:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in security engineering or a related technical role
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security solutions
  • Exposure to multi-region or global deployments within complex environments
  • Experience working in hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud)
  • Hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies (ZIA and/or ZPA)
  • Practical experience implementing or working within a Zero Trust security model, including VPN modernisation or migration
  • Experience integrating security platforms with Azure AD / Entra ID, including SAML and OIDC authentication
  • Exposure to SASE frameworks, identity-driven access and data protection (DLP)

Ideal:

  • Experience configuring SSO, SCIM provisioning and Conditional Access policies
  • Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, proxies, SSL/TLS)
  • Experience working with AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting production issues, including log analysis and traffic debugging (e.g. Zscaler Nanolog)
  • The ability to collaborate across teams and simplify complex technical concepts

We are growing our cloud platform and need a skilled Cloud Engineer (Level II) with a strong focus on AWS Networking to design, build and protect the core connectivity layer that underpins our digital services.This role exists to ensure our cloud networking environment is resilient, secure, high-performing and scalable, enabling the business to operate safely across regions and at enterprise scale.

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement and optimise
  • AWS network architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, connectivity patterns)
  • Build and maintain secure, scalable network connectivity across environments (e.g. PrivateLink, VPN, hybrid connectivity, inter-account networking)
  • Drive improvements in network security, segmentation and traffic control
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and connectivity issues across cloud environments

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and automation practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of delivery
  • A curious mindset and passion for continuous learning

Preferred:

  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (highly advantageous)
  • Other relevant AWS certifications

About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP SuccessFactors Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Employee Central (EC) and Time Management to join our HR Technology team. This role is critical in ensuring we maintain, enhance, and stabilise our HR platform as we transition key responsibilities in-house.

You will take ownership of SuccessFactors EC and Time modules, provide configuration expertise, resolve time-related issues, and support continuous improvement across our HR processes.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and maintain SuccessFactors Employee Central, including job information, org structure, workflows, and employment lifecycle data.
  • Own and enhance SuccessFactors Time Management, including time off, time sheets, overtime configuration, rules, and validations.
  • Analyse and resolve time-related issues identified by the business analyst team.
  • Drive smooth system operations and ensure time processes are stabilised by the targeted timelines.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, payroll, and technical teams to ensure a seamless HR experience.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and configuration adjustments as needed.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years hands-on SuccessFactors consulting experience.
  • Strong skills in SuccessFactors Time Management (priority requirement
  • Solid experience with Employee Central (EC)
  • Ability to configure EC and Time modules end-to-end, including rules, workflows, and data management.
  • Strong data handling skills (e.g., analysing time issues, understanding data models, Excel capability).
  • Exposure to multiple SuccessFactors modules (as many consultants specialise across 4–5 modules).

Join a specialised Data Security team

To implement, support and manage Cyber Security solutions to protect systems, networks, users and data from cyber threats, assist in safeguarding Capitec’s digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

To design, build, implement, support and collaborate with Cyber Security colleagues and Capitec teams, participating in engineering and contributing to the delivery success of projects, based on specifications, while adhering to established standards.

Experience

Minimum:

  • 3-5 years of experience in security engineering or a related technical role.
  • Proven experience building, implementing, managing security solutions.
  • Experience across cloud, DevOps, infrastructure or software engineering environments
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab, GitHub) and automation practices
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP advantageous)
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, Proficiency in automation.
