FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT: ARM FERROUS
(D-UPPER PATTERSON GRADING)

Purpose of the Job:

• To provide a comprehensive financial
  accounting, statutory reporting and tax
  compliance function for ARM Ferrous
  (Assmang), ensuring accuracy,
  regulatory compliance and timely delivery
  across all reporting cycles in support of
  the ARM Ferrous team.

Location:

• Sandton, Johannesburg

Job Requirements:

• BCom (Accounting or Financial
  Management) degree.
• CA (SA) will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years financial experience,
  with demonstrated exposure to mining
  industry financial reporting and tax
  compliance.
• Knowledge of IFRS (International
  Financial Reporting Standards).
• Extensive Tax knowledge and
  experience across all South African taxes
  including Mining Income Tax, Mining
  Royalty Tax, VAT, PAYE, Carbon Taxes,
  etc.
• Experience in practical financial
  management at operational level and at
  a group reporting level.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation / review of
  monthly-, quarterly- and annual reporting
  for ARM Ferrous.
• Preparation of annual- and interim
  financial reporting.
• Preparation of Annual Financial
  Statements.
• Nature Conservation Trust; ensure
  financial provision for environmental
  rehabilitation and closure are in place.
• Overseeing and maintaining the overall
  tax compliance of Assmang (Pty) Ltd and
  all subsidiaries.
• Ensuring compliance with the Assmang
  Group Tax Policy.
• Compiling all tax computations and tax
  returns for Assmang (Pty) Ltd and all
  subsidiary companies.
• Managing relationships with SARS,
  auditors, banks, insurance providers and
  tax specialists.
• Attending to all internal and external audit
  matters of ARM Ferrous and ensure is
  resolved by the relevant persons.
