Refueller Driver x 2 – Lanseria International Airport

Introduction

An opportunity has become available for an Refueller Drivers x2, reporting to the Fuel Manager

The successful incumbent will be based at Lanseria International Airport.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Visual inspection of fuel sample from all sample points on vehicle daily
  • The testing of vehicles’ mechanical fitness before fuelling
  • Completing shift handover forms
  • To fuel in a safe manner as per SOP and training provided
  • Report any breakdowns and deficiencies to Supervisor immediately
  • To fill in the correct information on flight receipt
  • Ensure that all quality control records are completed daily
  • Ensure that the vehicle is not operating without fire extinguishers
  • Ensure that the Bowser is always kept clean
  • Always drive the fuel truck safely and adhere to the Airport speed limit as per AVOP and induction training provided.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • Code 10 License minimum
  • Airside induction compliant
  • Dangerous goods competent
  • Radio competent
  • AVSEC
  • Basic fire fighting

Driver – Ergo Mining

Introduction

Job Purpose Ergo Plant requires a truck driver to safely operate company trucks for the transportation of materials, equipment, consumables, and waste within the metallurgical gold plant and between operational sites. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safe handling of loads, conducting vehicle inspections, complying with road traffic legislation, and adhering to company safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures. 
  • Transport plant materials, spares, equipment, consumables, chemicals (where authorised), and other operational requirements.
  • Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects immediately.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and serviced according to maintenance schedules.
  • Load, transport, and offload materials safely to prevent damage or injury.
  • Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, logbooks, vehicle inspection checklists, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Comply with all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Report incidents, accidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses promptly.
  • Assist with loading, offloading, housekeeping, and general operational duties when required.
  • Support shutdowns, maintenance activities, and emergency operational requirements.
  • Ensure safe storage and transportation of hazardous materials where applicable and in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors, dispatch personnel, stores, and operational teams.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as operational requirements dictate.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Efficient / effective services are delivered at the required standard.

  • Complete sign off documents must be collected from the control room before any ad-hoc or request is completed. Full signature should be obtained.
  • Two-way radios must be used for communication between the toilet / water truck driver and control room to record arrival and departing of parking bays.
  • A compressive report must be completed and submitted immediately after the accident and follow the accident report.
  • Vehicle must be kept clean at all times. No old equipment is to be left behind after end of shift.
  • Ensure that all the subordinates comply with ACSA rules and regulations as per all relevant training.
  • Ensure staff compliant to the SHE Act with regards to wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Communicate movements and services on completion to the controller.

All irregularities must be reported immediately if a vehicle is unserviceable.
