DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the organisation’s accredited Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) with full accountability for compliance
  • Compile, submit, and secure approval of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) for the Group
  • Manage mandatory and discretionary grant funding, including applications, tracking, and reporting
  • Serve as primary liaison with relevant SETAs (e.g. MICT SETA), ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and grant recovery
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and management of:
    • Learnerships
    • Internships
    • Graduate development programmes
    • Experiential learning and bursary initiatives
  • Manage

INHERENT/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences
  • Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) Qualification (NQF Level 6)
  • Qualified and registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Development or related Behavioural Sciences
  • Membership with ASDSA (Association for Skills Development in South Africa)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Learning & Development / Human Capital Development functions

Main Purpose of the position

JOB PURPOSE

The Multi-Media Production Manager leads the operations & production of SABC’s short-form advertising, promo and branded content across radio, AV and digital platforms.
This role bridges creative direction and production management, ensuring that every campaign delivers best-in-class production values and optimal resource efficiencies.

Creative Direction & Campaign Execution

Translate scripts and storyboards into engaging visual and audio storytelling.
Allocate & manage all relevant production resources efficiently including facilities, suppliers & freelancers (IC’s).
Ensure tone, messaging & other creative requirements in campaign briefs are fully complied with in all production outcomes.

Production Management & Operations

Oversee day-to-day production workflow, scheduling and resource allocation.
Approve scripts, shoot schedules, budgets and post-production timelines.
Coordinate across internal stakeholders (Creative Studio, Sales, Marketing, Channel Heads, Digital).
Ensure efficient use of studios, editing suites, and technical resources.
Develop and manage production budgets.
Ensure maximum creative output within financial constraints.
Manage vendor contracts, freelance crew, and rights/licensing costs. Supervise post-production editing, sound design, motion graphics, and mastering.
Review and approve final deliverables across radio, AV and digital formats.
Ensure content meets both SABC’s brand and technical standards as well as those in each campaign brief.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

NQF 6 Diploma in Visual Arts/Creative art/ Communication and or Graphic Design

ADVANTAGE

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 8–12 years in production, with at least 5 years at senior Producer/Director level.
Demonstrable experience in campaign-based content (ads, promos, branded content).
Background in both creative agency and broadcast production environments highly advantageous.

KNOWLEDGE:

Excellent production planning, budgeting and scheduling skills.
Strong directing and producing skills for radio, AV and digital campaigns.
Fluent in the technical aspects of post-production (editing, sound, graphics).
Ability to manage teams under tight deadlines with agile leadership & project management approach.
Advanced understanding of storytelling, camera direction, and editing flow.
Multi-platform content formats and audience engagement principles.
Broadcast technical standards and digital delivery specifications.
Rights, music licensing, and compliance within a public broadcaster context.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.

The main purpose of the position

To design, create, and deliver marketing programs to support the expansion and growth of the company’s services and products.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement high-quality, cutting-edge content for multiple digital platforms in line with the station’s Marketing and Programming Strategies.
  • Repurpose content broadcast on traditional radio platform(s) for consumption on multiple digital platforms.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Digital Marketing or related disciplines (NQF Level 6)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a digital platforms’ environment and technologies
  • 2 Years’ experience in a broadcasting or marketing environment
  • Experience in sound and video recording and editing
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach

main purpose of the position

 To provide a support service to the Sales Segment function by working closely with the National Sales Manager, Key Account Executives and Account Executives Sales in order to assist with the maximization of revenue.

Key accountabilities 

Office Coordinator

  • Building and maintaining a network internally and externally to ensure prompt and efficient delivery.
  • Answer telephone calls and assist customers.
  • Direct sales leads to appropriate member of sales team.
  • Liaise with clients – deal with client enquiries, purchase orders, SBD / Vendor forms.
  • Respond to emails and other forms of correspondence.

Stakeholder Management

  • Follow up on all correspondence from clients and adherence to deadlines.
  • Compile all Submissions and Term Sheets within respective portfolios as well as manage the long form contract process.
  • Update electronic contracts register/commitment book monthly.
  • Sound administration as well as weekly and monthly status reporting.
  • Conduct a minimum number of client visits as agreed with respective line Manager.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A relevant higher education qualification (Higher Certificate or National Certificate) at NQF Level 5 or above; and/or Additional accredited courses or certifications in Media, Digital Marketing, Sales, Sales Administration or other related fields at a minimum of NQF Level 5
  • 2-4 number of years of sales/ sales experience, (media sales environment advantageous).
