ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: MUNICIPAL FINANCIAL ASSETS AND LIABILITIES MANAGEMENT (PROVINCIAL GRANT MANAGEMENT)

Requirements :

• NQF Level 7 in Financial Accounting /Auditing. Driver’s license. 3 to 5 years’ working experience in local government finance within Provincial Grants Management.

Duties :

• To Perform the monitoring of provincial grants management to enhance compliance with the relevant legislation and related regulations. Perform the monitoring of unspent provincial grants in local government and transferring provincial departments (TPDs) to enhance compliance with the relevant legislation and related regulations. Implement intergovernmental relations (internally and externally) including participation in intergovernmental meetings, workshops, collaboration sessions. Provide support to municipalities pertaining to provincial grants management. Facilitate the administrative function of the sub-directorate.

Notes :

• Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified documents on or before the interview date following communication from HR. Suitable candidates will be subjected to Personnel Suitability Checks (criminal record, citizen, credit record checks, qualification, and employment verification). Confirmation of final appointment will be subject to a positive security clearance.
