Senior Professional Officer Services Liaison

Requirements

  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification
  • A higher qualification will be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a Finance
    environment that relates to Municipal Finances as well
    as Revenue Debtors with at least 3 years’ supervisory experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ data analysis experience in a
    financial environment
  • At least 2 years working experience with SQL database
    queries as well as programs such as Python or “R”
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications with Advanced Excel.

Key Performance Areas

Senior Artisan – Welder/Boilermaker

Requirements

  • Trade Tested in
  • Welding or Boilermaking.
  • NTC 3 trade theory will be an added advantage.

Reliability Engineering Technician – Electrical

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current).
  • Registered with ECSA as a Candidate.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience in electrical maintenance, electrical
    condition monitoring, electrical reliability engineering or related
    electrical technical services.
  • Practical exposure to electrical equipment condition assessment,
    fault identification, technical reporting and maintenance
    recommendations.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical condition monitoring, Condition-
    Based Maintenance (CBM), predictive maintenance, electrical
    asset health assessment, infrared thermography, electrical fault
    identification, technical reporting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience in condition monitoring of electrical equipment within
    industrial, municipal, water, wastewater or similar operational
    environments will be an added advantage.

  • Conduct electrical condition-monitoring inspections and asset
    health assessments to identify deterioration, abnormal operating
    conditions and developing defects affecting Water and Sanitation
    electrical installations.
  • Inspect MCCs, switchgear, distribution boards, panels, motors,
    drives, cabling, terminations, protection and control systems,
    including infrared thermographic inspections where appropriately
    trained, competent, authorised and permitted.
  • Prepare concise technical reports containing findings,
    photographs, measurements, risk assessments, recommendations
    and follow-up requirements, and maintain electrical asset
    condition histories.
  • Analyse electrical equipment performance, chronic defects,
    breakdowns, trip events and failure trends, and support electrical

  • Provide technically sound electrical maintenance recommendations and technical input into preventive, predictive
  • and condition-based maintenance strategies to improve reliability,
  • availability, maintainability, safety and lifecycle performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, execute and monitor electrical condition-
    monitoring routes, inspection schedules and asset lists based on
    asset criticality and risk; identify and prioritise inspection backlogs
    and coverage gaps.
  • Provide specialised electrical Asset Care technical support to
    Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams, including
    participation in inspections, shutdowns, maintenance activities,
    commissioning assessments and post-maintenance verification.
  • Communicate electrical condition findings, risks, priorities and
    recommendations to relevant stakeholders; follow up corrective
    actions and escalate critical defects, unresolved high-risk
    conditions and matters requiring higher-level engineering
    intervention.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching and knowledge transfer;
    contribute to troubleshooting guides, inspection checklists, work
    instructions and condition-monitoring procedures.
  • Research and maintain awareness of developments in electrical
    predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, thermography and
    reliability practices.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, must be registered
    as a Candidate Engineering Technician.
  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience
  • Valid Code B Drivers License
  • Knowledge in relevant OHS Act Procedures, Electrical Network
    Management, Electricity By-laws and SAP system would
    be advantageous
  • Experience using SAP to create purchase requisitions and

Requirements for – ERP Finance Stream:

  • A relevant professional ICT qualification, preferably a relevant
    B Degree/National Diploma in Information Systems or in
    Finance. SAP/ERP certification in Finance would be

    (2) years preferably as a Senior ERP Analyst in providing

Requirements for PPM:

  • A relevant professional ICT qualification, preferably a
    relevant National Diploma or B Degree in Information

    advantageous.
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ relevant experience of which two
    (2) years preferably as a Senior ERP Analyst in providing
    and supporting SAP/ERP functions.
  • Experience in SAP Project Systems and SAP Portfolio
    Project Management – Experience will be advantageous

Requirements for ISU – Revenue:

  • A relevant professional ICT qualification, preferably a National
    Diploma or B Degree in Public Administration/Management
  • SAP/ERP certification in SAP Utilities would be advantageous.
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ relevant experience of which two
    (2) years preferably as a Senior ERP Analyst in providing
    and supporting SAP/ERP functions.
  • Experience in ISU Revenue processes will be advantageous

Requirements for ISU – SAP Authorisations:

  • A relevant professional ICT qualification, preferably a relevant
    National Diploma or B Degree in Information systems or
    Information Technology
  • SAP Security / Authorisations certification will be
    advantageous.
  • Identity Governance Administration (IGA) training will be
    advantageous
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ relevant experience of which two
    (2) years preferably as a Senior ERP Analyst in providing
    and supporting SAP/ERP functions.
