Assistant Accountant

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To support the Group Reporting function, including Group Services monthly reporting for accurate and complete financial report compilation

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Assist with the compilation of the monthly departmental (Group Services) financial reports and identify variances from the budget

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist in financial control and financial administration and support the financial management processes in the hospital.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To optimise revenue by ensuring that an accurate account is generated for each patient and the patient file contains all the relevant supporting documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Accurate and timeous billing of all charted items used during the patient’s stay

Complete all patient files and ensure these contain all documents as well as a final billed account

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Prepare accurate reports and returns that can be submitted to various external stakeholders like SARS and Stats SA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Prepare and submit Value Added Tax (‘VAT”) returns timeously (VAT administration)

Prepare the Income tax return along with the relevant Income Tax supporting documentation accurately (Tax administration)

Accurately complete all Statistics SA surveys

Provide assistance during the financial year end procedures.

Essential:  B.Com Degree
