Lesedi was founded to provide engineering, scheduled maintenance services and technical resources for the South African Nuclear Power Industry. Since 2006 Lesedi has diversified into a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company supporting Eskom with its New Build Programme and covering other energy related infrastructure projects.

ICT Administrator

Purpose of the Role

To provide 2nd Level Support for Cloud, Desktop, Server, and Networks for Lesedi IT Systems across all sites.

Key Performance Areas

  • Attend and close Servicedesk calls within SLA timeframe
  • Manage, maintain, and support VoIP systems
  • Oversee printers/plotters company-wide, including reporting
  • Support and maintain SDWan (FortiGate, Sonicwall, etc.)
  • Manage Wi-Fi AP and controllers company-wide
  • Support Lesedi software applications (Engineering software)
  • Provide cloud support to end-users (e.g., Office 365)
  • Set up and maintain procedures, guides, and SOPs
  • Provide end-user training and induction
  • Assist with laptop/desktop lifecycle management
  • Manage network cabling and switch support
  • Oversee NOC dashboard monitoring and call logging
  • Monitor UPS functionality across all server room sites
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors for hardware and software support
  • Assist with server setup/management/maintenance
  • Support ICT Manager with site initiation and planning
  • Participate in DR testing as required

Qualifications

  • IT Degree or 3-year IT Diploma
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+

  • CCNA or three years of Cisco/Aruba level switch management experience
  • FortiGate experience (Advantage)
  • Equivalent MCSA or MCSE (Advantage)

Senior Engineer: Electrical

Purpose of the Role

Produce quality technical outputs which satisfy all requirements (Clients, Codes and Standards) by adhering to internal engineering processes. This senior technical role requires strong leadership qualities.

Key Performance Areas

  • LV and MV Systems Engineering (conceptual & detail design)
  • Design, specification, and execution of electrical systems for industrial plants
  • Design of LV & MV Motor Control Centres and industrial plant reticulation systems
  • Design of DC plant, battery systems, and renewable energy systems
  • Design of protection systems and earthing and lightning protection systems
  • Specification of Electrical Switchgear and Motor Protection Equipment
  • Design of cable networks, distribution systems, and lighting and small power systems
  • Ensure design compliance with the South African Grid Code
  • Manage electrical interfaces with other disciplines
  • Participate in and manage procurement and installation contracts and documentation
  • Assist during fabrication, tender compilation, and testing/commissioning phases

Project Coordinator

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for Project Coordination and Support for small to medium sized projects, including various project and general administrative tasks. The role focuses on successful execution of activities and administration associated with projects, as well as general administration to support successful project execution within the division.

Key Performance Areas

Project Related:

  • Retrieve and document project requirements
  • Establish deliverables for received Scope of Work
  • Source pricing and timing estimates
  • Issue quotations and liaise with clients
  • Process orders and coordinate deliveries
  • Ensure invoicing and effective communication
  • Track project progress and report to Senior Manager

Project Team and Divisional Related:

Project Engineer

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project technical elements, producing engineering outputs through execution of engineering processes, performing engineering scope control, and coordinating technical staff using the engineering plan.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Engineering outputs

  • Produce compliant, procurable, and constructible engineering deliverables
  • Provide technical support during construction
  • Resolve technical open items and prepare as-built documentation

Project Engineering Coordination

  • Assess and determine technical direction of the design
  • Facilitate effective communication between functional areas
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact for the customer

Contract Scope Management

Electrical Engineer

PURPOSE OF ROLE

PURPOSE OF ROLE

 To provide 1st Level Support for ERP/Business systems (Technical and Functional), including support and maintenance for Lesedi ERP Systems. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of ERP applications and related systems across all sites.

  • ERP Application support (full lifecycle) for all relevant modules used by the business
