Requirements

Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in a store environment, with one year on a supervisory level. 
  • Relevant Agricultural product knowledge.

Skills/ Competencies:

  • Great communication skills.
  • POS and SAP knowledge.
  • Planning and organising.

Senwes Grainlink, a division of Senwes Limited, comprises of two core divisions: Silo Industry and Market Access. Silo Industry specialises in the handling and storage of grain and oilseeds bridging the gap between the producer and off-takers. Market Access focuses on grain procurement, stock decision-making, marketing of grain, delivery and innovative solutions to service the grain markets.

This position reports to the Senwes Group Chief Executive Officer and is based in Klerksdorp, North West province.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Managing Executive will be responsible for the strategic management of Senwes Grainlink, which includes the following:

  • Provide Strategic Direction
  • Ensure business performance and growth
  • Ensure financial budgeting and viability
  • Innovation and design of workflow processes
  • Corporate Governance and compliance
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and lead corporate culture

Requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within the agricultural or grain industry.
  • In depth knowledge of the grain market, its value chain, risks and the dynamics of the grain industry as well as the requirements of the JSE: Agricultural Commodities Market and SAFEX market.
  • Proven track record of successful strategic planning, budgeting financial performance and operational management.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve the company’s objectives.
