Internal Account Manager: Government

Our client in the ICT Distribution industry is currently looking for an Internal Account Manager: Government, in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationships:
  • Identify and understand role players in each assigned account.
  • Assist External Account Managers with smaller, non-named customers.
  • Quote, close deals, and contribute towards the division’s targets.
  • Communicate efficiently and continuously with clients.
  • Portray professionalism and confidence to deliver the ultimate in customer service.
  • Build and maintain an active customer base to support the sales team.
  • Sales:
  • Support the Sales team by developing new opportunities and closing sales.
  • Capitalize on opportunities through effective negotiation to meet sales targets set by the Management team.
  • Build solid and realistic sales pipelines to ensure consistent growth.
  • Assist with onboarding new customers and reactivating dormant accounts.
  • Maximize sales by expanding orders and upselling during both incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Collaborate with the External Sales team to close deals when necessary.
  • Foster strong team relationships to maintain a high-performing, cohesive environment.
  • Order Process – Consultative Selling:
  • Create accurate quotations based on received requests.
  • Ensure all orders are entered into the system with precision.
  • Meet and exceed agreed SLAs for quoting and delivery timelines.
  • Achieve a consistent closure rate within set timeframes.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Follow up on the entire sales process until the order is delivered to the client.
  • Track and follow up on all quotations to ensure progress and closure.

Requirements:

  • Matric is essential; a qualification in the form of a Diploma, Degree, or Certification in Sales & Marketing will be an advantage.
  • Attending training sessions to develop skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, accurately, and efficiently with clients and colleagues.
  • Microsoft Office including intermediate Excel skills.
  • 2 – 3 years of IT distribution experience in a sales or sales support role.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest technologies and market trends.
  • Experience working with government customers would be advantageous.

Remuneration:

  • R13 000 – R15 000 per month.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Assistant

Our client in the Retail industry is currently looking for an Accounts Assistant for a 3 month-contract, in Cape Town, Western Cape.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all shared accounts payable mailboxes.
  • Manage approval workflow for Vendor Invoice Management  (Invoice authorization)
  • Process 3rd party account payable invoices.
  • Prepare and administrate regular payment runs (SAP and HSBC)
  • Post & reconcile all payments processed (SAP and HSBC)
  • Prepare monthly vendor age analysis.
  • Prepare & reconcile the 3rd party vendors’ age analysis to 3rd party vendor statements.
  • Prepare, Reconcile and Post Petty Cash & Company Credit Card Expenses.
  • Verify discrepancies on vendor, Petty Cash & Credit Card reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.

Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrates leadership amongst peers by demonstrating personal customer service and selling skills, participating, and being fully engaged with the team. 
  • Supervise employees to complete tasks and achieve goals in the absence of Store Management. 
  • Manage shop floor and drive sales by addressing customer concerns, motivating, and training employees.

Our client in the Human Resources industry is currently looking for a Sales Development Representation, in Fourways, Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and sustain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for our Sales team.
  • Execute pre-developed targeted campaigns through phone calls and emails,
  • Arranging introductory discovery meetings for the account director.
  • Nurture and guide lead through the qualification process until they are ready for further discussions with our Sales team.
  • Calling and emailing lists of targeted companies and contacts from pre-determined sales development campaigns (50-80 calls/day; 200+ emails/week)

External Account Manager: Government

Our client in the ICT Distribution industry is currently looking for an External Account Manager: Government, in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned customers in the Government sector, developing new business opportunities and identifying key resellers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all reseller and end-customer account management matters.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting business relationships with resellers and end-users.
  • Achieve individual and departmental revenue and gross profit (GP) targets.
  • Foster trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and sales teams within reseller and end-customer organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a robust and realistic sales pipeline.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of sales forecasts.
  • Communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives clearly to the Sales Manager.

Requirements:

  • Matric with Mathematics (essential) and a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Above-average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence decisions of key stakeholders.
  • Good time management and organizational skills; deadline-driven with the ability to plan and prioritize a high workload.
  • Ability to work with numbers and complete basic calculations.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple account projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good technical knowledge on enterprise solutions to advise resellers and end-customers and hold informed discussions.
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in high-stress, pressurized environments.

Remuneration:

  • R40 000 – R45 000 per month dependent on qualification and experience.
