Job Summary
Accountable for handling incoming and outgoing customer communication for
HaloCare to ensure that the business’s core targets are met.
Key Performance Areas:
Customer Care and Service
- Ensure high standards of customer care and service as stipulated by the Service
Level Agreement with the clients (quick response to phone answering and
quality of the call) as per company policy. - Ensure correct procedure for new patient enrolment is followed as stipulated by
the company policies and procedures. - Ensure that the correct procedure is followed for the processing of new and
repeat prescriptions and blood results from laboratories. - Ensuring timeous and speedy resolution to all queries as per SLA.
- Offer patient education and counselling support to all clients.
- Maintain regular contact with the patient to develop an open respectful
relationship with the patient. - Report cases that require referral to other services (e.g. substance abuse,
depression, treatment compliance etc.) to the Clinical Consultant. - Ensure total confidentiality and professional conduct when liaising with patients
telephonically, in writing or in person.
Follow specified processes
- Liaise with treating doctor, receptionists, and patients to ensure prescriptions
and pathology tests are completed every 6 months as per protocol. - Report all outstanding prescriptions and/or pathology to the Clinical Consultant.
- Report cases for Focused Intervention and Intervention to the Clinical
Consultant. - Ensure confirmation of contact details and alternative contacts (treatment
buddy). - Ensure adherence to HaloCare workflow process and protocols.
- Ensure data is captured and processed correctly within the required time as per
the service level agreement. - Submit processed work to the Clinical Consultant within the time required
Experience and Qualifications required
- Minimum Grade 12
- Training courses in Basic diabetes and HIV Disease Management
(Advantageous) - Experience dealing with systems processes and disease management concepts
with any chronic condition (advantageous) - Microsoft Office: Intermediate level for Outlook, Excel & Word
- Fully lingual in English. The ability to converse in Afrikaans is advantageous
- Effective communication skills in written correspondence and enquiry handling
- Ability to handle difficult customers via telecom or email.

Working Hours

Job Summary
To critically analyse and report on client specific data, consult with clients regarding
medicine expenditure, benefit design and industry trends.
Key Performance Areas:
Reporting
- Collect, clean, analyse and visualise data from various sources using advanced
Excel and other BI models. - To develop reports and presentations for clients regarding their medicine
utilisation and expenditure based on SLA or other client specific requirements. - To check and analyse reports created prior to distribution to clients.
- To compile and communicate internal reports and analytics according to
business decision requests/requirements. - To compile ad hoc reports for clients based on client request.
Analysis and consultation
- To consult internally with relevant departments regarding best practices and
recommendations to clients (documentation and data analysis) to provide
quality solutions to client specific needs. - To provide training regarding data analysis platforms (BI models) to internal
and external clients. - To present findings and possible Benefit Design recommendations to clients, as
and when required, which will address client marketing and financial positioning
according to industry standards. - To provide assistance and guidance to colleagues relating to the clinical
interpretations of reports and for presentation purposes.
Research and development
- To co-author (edit and audit, graphics) the annual publication (Mediscor
Medicine Review) to the industry to raise awareness of the Mediscor brand. - Analyse data and provide support to the Pharmaceutics and Therapeutics
committee (PTC) to enable funding decisions. - To attend and participate in various industry forums to stay abreast of clinical
advancements and emerging trends, ensuring the implementation of best
practices within Mediscor as well as to provide relevant information and insights
during discussion.
General administration duties:
- To provide assistance according to operational and departmental needs.
Qualifications and Experience required
- BPharm
- Registered with the SA Pharmacy Council.
- Proven working experience with data in various forms and on applicable
platforms. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in the health care, medical aid industry or
research. - Microsoft Office with Excel Advanced.
- Advantageous: Masters in relevant field.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Knowledge and Attributes required
- Knowledge and ability to work with BI models, e.g., Qlik Sense.
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation- and writing skills.

Job Summary
- Provide technical support to our staff, troubleshooting hardware and software
issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
Key Performance Areas:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
- upkeep and maintenance of the UPS and generator according to SOP and thirdparty SLA
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of peripheral devices (printers, scanners,
etc.). - Maintain and update the telephony system according to the relevant training
manuals - Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information
clearly to non-technical users. - Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware
or software faults.
Experience and Qualifications required
- Grade 12, Diploma in IT or related
- Certificates for Microsoft products. (Microsoft 365, Active directory
Management, etc.(advategeous) - At least 1-2 years end-user support experience
- Experience in a medical environment an advantage
- Knowledge of scheme rules and the application thereof an advantage
