Job Purpose

To operate tractors on CPUT campuses. Mainly mowing of sports fields and open spaces

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Matric/Grade 12 or Equivalent NQF
• Valid Driver’s license (code 8)
• Tractor Driver Certificate
• At least two (2) years’ relevant experience in similar role
• Driving tractor with trailer/attachments

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Driving Tractor with attachments to mow sports fields and open spaces .
• Driving tractor with trailer to collect garden refuse on campus .
• Fertilization
• Storekeeping duties – Ensure safekeeping of mowing equipment and other stock items
• Internal Liaison
• Driving – Load and unload garden supplies
• Planting – Assist in planting and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns
• General garden maintenance

• Knowledge of tractor functions.
• Knowledge of grass mowing with tractor
• Knowledge of basic tractor and tractor equipment maintenance
• Ability to work independently
