Contracts Manager

  • Position: Contracts Manager
  • *Job Grade: D3 – D5

Purpose of the role:
To oversee and ensure effective and efficient contract management for the PIC including assets
management.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Business Administration/Law or equivalent commercerelated tertiary degree (NQF 7)
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years in a similar position
  • Experience in practising General conditions of contracts as prescribed by the National
    Treasury
  • Legal and financial understanding in commercial contracting and general contract
    management
  • Knowledge of finance-related regulations and legislation, including the Public Finance
    Management Act (PFMA), Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), and
    Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post Graduate Qualification in Commerce/Law

Duties:

  • Oversee and ensure effective and efficient contract management for the PIC, including
    assets under management.
  • Contract negotiation and management.
  • Collaborate with Legal on executing SLAs, engagement letters, or any other contracts.
  • Establish third-party management-related policies, standards, processes, and templates.
  • Implement vendor/supplier performance management processes.
  • Effectively communicate a clear and concise contract overview to key stakeholders.
  • Handle contract-related complaints and disputes from stakeholders.
  • Schedule and execute contractual events (e.g., audits, extension, expiry).
  • Identify and execute value opportunities with key vendor/supplier relationships.
  • Apply rules for KPI and service credit calculation and trends.
  • Collect, consolidate, and communicate vendor/supplier performance and identified risks.
  • Implement a business performance management process to ensure regular review of SLAs
    with vendors/suppliers.
  • Understand vendor/supplier spending by category, cost centre, and other requirements
  • Classify, rationalize, and optimize the vendor portfolio, and concentrate efforts on
    managing the most strategic vendors/suppliers
  • Implement Supplier and Enterprise Development initiatives

Asset and Configuration Management Specialist (Re-advertisement)

Purpose of the role:

  • To manage all IT assets (hardware and software) through their lifecycle to ensure that assets
    are used effectively and according to organizational policies.
  • Perform the asset lifecycle from cradle to grave that is to Plan, Request, Procure (initiate
    and evaluate requests for quotations), Receive and register and barcode,
    Deploy/Allocate/Move, retire and dispose of IT Assets, Control inventory, Keep the IT Asset
    Register up to date, perform periodic IT Asset verification/auditing and IT Asset Reporting
    including the reporting of stolen IT workstations and finances (invoices, orders and
    payments).

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Information Technology (at NQF 6 level)
  • ITIL certified (V3-V4) Practitioner / Intermediate
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant IT experience
  • Knowledge of Service Management Tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) / Microsoft Endpoint
    Configuration Manager or Microsoft Intune
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management Tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Software Asset Management and Licensing is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of ITIL-based processes or other frameworks and standards (e.g., Cobit, ISO 20
    000, IT Asset Management)

Duties:

  • Define, implement and maintain IT assets standards, technology specifications, policies and
    procedures.
  • Liaise with PIC Assets Management and Supply Chain functions to ensure IT assets are
    managed according to organisational policies. Manage IT assets register and report on
    assets status to management.
  • Manage IT storerooms and asset disposals.
  • Coordinate IT assets verification processes.
  • Monitor and record the movement of all IT assets.
  • Keep records and track all software license keys.
  • Manage loaner pools of computer assets and computer losses.
  • Facilitate and manage the configuration identification process, and maintain adequate control
    mechanism over configuration items.
  • Facilitate the periodical CI data integrity review of the current and historical configuration
    data.
  • Produce management reports on IT assets and Provide support to the IT teams on asset
    queries.
  • Engage with Vendors / Service Providers and or Original Equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
    of workstations and printers for hardware repairs and procurement of computer hardware
    and software.
  • Implement continuous technical improvement initiatives including technology refresh of IT
    End User equipment.
  • Manage the Mobile Devices lifecycle.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • B Com (Hons) in Investment /Financial Management / Economics or BSc (Hons) degree in

  • FAIS RE5 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 2 to 3 years of investment industry experience

Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement:
