Job Requirements

  • A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • A minimum of two seasons as a contract assessor at PPECB
  • Specialist competency in container loading normal and temperature monitoring.
  • A valid code EB/ 08 drivers license with own reliable transport is a must for this opportunity
  • Exposure with a completed POE in any of the cold chain disciplines, other than Container Loading and Temperature Monitoring, will be to the candidates advantage
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent customer service skills

Job Description

To perform all administrative functions relating to the Food Safety mandate by guiding, assisting and delivering professional and on time services to stakeholders / interdepartmental & external clients, while adhering to business processes.

  • To provide effective internal client communication and coordination to ensure that the client
  • receives seamless service; are well-informed and satisfied
  • To ensure the PPECB brand and image is protected and our clients retained by excellence in
  • service delivery
  • To ensure compliance with the statutory Food Safety Standard by informing clients on
  • correct requirements
  • To ensure professionally and properly planned coordination of audits and events to ensure
  • appropriate audit preparation and close-out.
  • To ensure accuracy of database information (DAFF & NAV registrations) and traceability for
  • accurate service booking and billing purposes and to prevent delays for clients
  • To ensure procedural compliance to business processes (internal & external audits) and to
  • ensure adherence to internal business processes, procedures and policies (QMS) and to
  • ensure that Food Safety Auditors and external clients have up-to-date information and are
  • informed about service requests
  • To ensure data on system corresponds with DAFF database and clients’ registration
  • information.
  • To ensure efficient Finance administration; complete procurement adherence to PPECB
  • finance policies and procedures; on-time payments and enable accurate reconciliations of
  • income versus expenses
  • To ensure cost effective scheduling of planned audits; resolve invoicing queries raised by
  • clients or Debtors and maintain accuracy of departmental asset-register
  • To provide information to measure progress on audit KPI’s and on audit resource performance

Requirements:

Grade 12 is essential 

MS Certification in Word, Excel and Outlook – Intermediate would be desirable 

2 years’ experience in office administration 

Knowledge of relevant acts relating to the export regulatory environment would be desirable 

Knowledge of PPECB system knowledge, policies and procedures would be desirable
