PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To effectively, accurately, and timeously do costing of service invoices and check payment runs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 (with Maths & Accounting) is essential
  • BCom Degree or NQF 7 equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience working in a Finance environment
  • At least 1 3 years experience in a Supervisory role.
  • SAP experience is essential
  • Awareness of customer service is essential
  • Knowledge of procurement, accounts payable, warehouse and logistics processes, rules, and standards.
  • VAT knowledge is essential
  • Valid Medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate

  • Computer literacy (MS Office package)
  • Good organising skills and the ability to work under pressure

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Protects the corporate image of the company.
  • Consciously evaluates Accounts Payable procedures and mitigates identified risks.
  • Develops and coaches employees within the AP Department.
  • Plans, leads, and organises resources including acting as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders.
  • Researches, analyses, and continuously initiates projects for improvement, including the managing of related budgets and costs.
  • Builds relationships which analyse both internal and external stakeholders whilst manages accounting functions such as maintenance of general ledger Accounts Payable, GR/IR and Supplier Reconciliations and approvals.
  • Co-Ordinate Query meetings with Suppliers and internal Departments.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and audits regarding supplier payments and statements.
  • Resolves Account queries within the Accounts Payable Department.
  • Performs and complies with GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance).
  • Release payment runs

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely and effectively operate the mine winder for the haulage of ore, persons, materials, and equipment during a shift.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science) or NQF 4 equivalent.
  • DMRE Winding Engine Drivers Certificate
  • Banksman/Onsetter Certificate.
  • 3 years working experience in shaft barrel as a Banksman/Onsetter or Shaft Timberman
  • 2 years double drum winder experience
  • 2 years vertical shaft experience
  • Valid medical certificate or must be medically fit to obtain such a certificate

COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of basic hydraulics system diagrams.
  • Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles in the workplace
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the functions and the operation of signaling arrangements and safety devices in a shaft
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the functions of electrical and mechanical components on a winder
  • Demonstrate an understanding of shaft signals

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance on underground mining trackless mobile machines
  • Starts and takes control of a winder.
  • Communicates winding engine defects and sub-standard conditions to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  • Performs ore pulling operations from relevant levels.
  • Transports people by means of a winder.
  • Coordinates winding activities with total process requirements.
  • Compiles correct shift reports.
  • Escalates abnormal operations problems to appropriate Engineer or manager.
  • Responds to standard signals.
  • Assists during breakdowns or emergencies.
  • Adheres to applicable legislation with regards to winding plant
  • Maintains the housekeeping standards in the work area.
  • Ensures safe and reliable workmanship.
  • Adheres to all safety, emergency and first aid procedures.
  • Interacts with other teams and systems.
  • Maintains own safe and productive workplace.
  • Advises on defects and abnormalities to appropriate Engineer or manager.
  • Ensures teamwork expectations and plans are clear.
