What your role looks like?

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you’ll be operating as the lead point of contact to oversee a portfolio of assigned brands to maintain/create long-term, trusting relationships with international brands. 

In this role, you will:

● Negotiate contracts and close agreements with new and existing brands and liaise with brands to assist with challenging customer requests, including price negotiations and promotional activities and activations.

● Curate product ranges that align with pricing, margin targets and market needs.

Responsibilities

Current Trade

Provide guidance, support and oversight to buyers with regards to their weekly management of all current trade buying activities and action plans including critical marketing deadlines and the weekly performance of items, subcategories and categories.

As a team communicate a current trade report for the senior executives, as well as strategic overviews of the previous month’s trade required for board reports.

Responsibilities

Procure merchandise at the optimal total cost of ownership without compromising on quality and timelines and manage the critical path in order to ensure the timely delivery of quality products to our stores.

Current Trade

Continuously analyse the current season’s trade to ensure that it is executed according to plan in order to achieve strategic targets and budget. Review portfolio performance for related period for all KPI’s. Make appropriate trade decisions and take action to optimise opportunities in trade, minimise risk and manage stock levels. Communicate any changes from current trade to management and any other impacted departments.

Trend & Competitor Research and Development
