Requirements

Relevant B Degree in Build Environment
8 Years relevant experience
Registration as a Professional Engineer with the
Engineering Council of South Africa
Computer Literacy
SAP Proficiency
Valid Code EB Drivers Licence

Key Performance Areas

To develop the strategic direction for Maintenance and
Engineering within the Facilities Management Priority
Portfolio and Integrated Facilities Management.
Manage the portfolio in line alignment with ISO 55001,
ensuring adherence with all applicable statutory and
compliance requirements
Accountable for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical
maintenance at facilities within the FM Priority portfolio
Managing and administering of contracts and service level
agreements in accordance with applicable City policies
and procedures
Management and monitoring of programmes comprising
of multiple projects varying complexity

Requirements

Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification preferably a
B Degree in BSc Electronics or BSc light current
electrical engineering
8 years’ or more relevant experience with managerial
experience
Contract and project management experience
Computer Literacy
SAP knowledge advantageous
Valid Code EB Drivers Licence

Key Performance Areas

Design, implement and drive the FM Building
Electronics Strategy
Responsible for the efficient and effective management
of all resources and staff of the Electronics Technologies
Division
Responsible for the efficient and effective management
of all operational activities and functions of the Electronic
Technologies Division
Manage and participate in tender and procurement processes
Manage contracts and contractors
Maintain sound relations and demonstrate sound business
values to clients

Requirements

A relevant tertiary qualification, namely, four (4) years Tertiary
Diploma in Fire Technology, National Diploma in Fire Technology
Relevant management experience
Eight years relevant experience commensurate with the
requirements of the position, including budget preparation,
management of staff and other administration functions
Computer Literacy
A valid driver’s license
No criminal record

Key Performance Areas

Manage, lead, co-ordinate and monitor firefighting and rescue
operations.
Directs and controls the Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes
of personnel within the District/Section.
Manage, monitor and control budgets (capital and operating) for
the District/Section.
Manage and control Occupational Health and safety legislation
within the District/Section.
Managing training and skills development and the transfer of skills
and knowledge in the District/Section.
Manages the use of technology in the District/Section.
