JOB PURPOSE:

The cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, managing cleaning equipment, maintaining hygiene standards and sometimes handling specialized tasks like floor waxing or window washing , often with minimal supervision.

 REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Matric (NQF 4) or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Cleaner or similar role.

DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:

  • Possess ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Excellent time management and ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
  • Possess physical stamina for manual labour and extended periods of standing, bending and lifting.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

General Cleaning

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and sanitizing surfaces
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas; and wash out bins in all offices
  • Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, offices, kitchens and common areas
  • Follow cleaning schedule and procedures as outlined by supervisor
  • Washing windows, mirrors and glass surfaces
  • Operating cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers) and maintaining it.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as may be required from time to time

Replenish cleaning materials

  • Replenish cleaning supplies, toilet paper, hand soap, handtowels and other hygiene materials as may be required
  • Responsible for the management of cleaning supplies as allocated to work areas
  • Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order through the Supervisor

Meeting room preparation 

  • Prepare meeting rooms according to user departments requirements
  • Ensure meeting rooms are cleaned daily
  • Ensure that coffee, tea, sugar, milk and hot water is replenished 

Health and safety 

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and use cleaning chemicals safely.
  • To report to the supervisor any defects seen which are likely to affect the security of the building

Security Officer: Two-year fixed Term Contract (Durban)

JOB PURPOSE:

The Security Officer is responsible for preventing unauthorized access, ensuring operational safety, and responding to security threats to maintain a secure and controlled environment within the CEF strategic installation classified as National Key Point.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Security environment of with 2 years must have been a Security Guard in a NKP industry.
  • PSIRA (grade A or B) certificate
  • National Key Point (NKP) Certificate and Level 1 valid First Aid Certificate will serve as an added advantage
  • Computer Literacy skills required
  • Valid driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.
  • Clean Criminal record

  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and government regulations.

VIP and Visitor Management

  • Provide a professional and courteous presence at entry points, ensuring visitors are appropriately screened and directed.

Access Control & Entry Management

  • Enforce access control policies by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs and records.
  • Ensure restricted areas are only accessed by authorized personnel.

Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Assist in emergency evacuations, drills, and incident response.
  • Maintain familiarity with emergency procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical response.
  • Apply minimum force principles when handling threats.
  • Use non-lethal weapons (batons, pepper spray, handcuffs) if required.
  • Respond effectively to riot control and civil unrest situations.

General Security Support

  • Assist employees with security concerns, such as lost badges or suspicious packages.

Protection of critical infrastructure and assets

  • Safeguard refinery pipelines, storage tanks, control rooms, and hazardous areas.
  • Prevent sabotage, vandalism, and unauthorized interference with operations.
  • Ensure compliance with National Key Point security measures.

Senior Project Manager: Two-Year Fixed Term Contract

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the role is to support the SANPC refinery’s operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and production continuity through safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery The role leads the planning, prioritisation, and execution of capital and brownfield projects, drives integration across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, SHEQ, Finance, and external partners, and ensures that all project outcomes support SANPC’s deliverables, regulatory obligations, and strategic objectives.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Honour’s degree (NQF 8) in any engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Industrial) or equivalent qualification.
  • 5 years as a project manager or project controls of which 3 to 5 years’ experience as a project lead in high value / impact / risk projects.
  • Experience coordinating EPC or maintenance contractors
  • Experience influencing operational, technical and safety decisions at senior level
  • Demonstrated portfolio-level planning, scheduling and risk management
  • Experience in Refinery, process plant, or petrochemical infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated cost control and project scheduling experience
  • Project Management certification is a requirement
  • Exposure to refinery or process plant environments is advantageous

The Senior Project Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight of multiple trading-critical infrastructure projects and programmes, ensuring that all terminals, storage, blending, metering, and operational interfaces required for CEF’s trading operations are delivered safely, on time, at optimal cost, and in alignment with commercial strategy.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Honours’ degree (NQF 8) in engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Industrial) or equivalent qualification.
  • 5 years’ experience in project management of which 3 to 5 years’ experience as a project lead in high value / impact / risk projects.
  • Project Management certification is a requirement
  • Certificate in Cost Management and Project scheduling will serve as an advantage.
  • Experience supporting trading-linked infrastructure, terminals, storage, blending, or logistics projects.
