Job Profile:
- Deliver effective municipal health services in accordance with the National Health Act, 2003
(Act No 61 of 2003), organisational policies and statutory requirements - Implement Environmental Health legislation (National, Provincial, Local) including
interpretation and application thereof - Assist with the surveillance and control of notifiable communicable diseases, including signs,
symptoms and how communicable diseases related to Environmental Health can be spread in
communities - Assist with theories and principles for Health Promotion
- Implement Project Management Principles
- Aid in food hygiene control and auditing systems such as HACCP
- Assist with interpretation of laboratory results relating to food and water samples
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Environmental Health
- Proof of current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Student
or Community Service - Valid Code B driver’s licence
- Excellent communication skills in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape
Province - Computer literacy
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and project management skills
- Ability to function effectively in stressful situations
All Inclusive Annual Salary: R75,600.00
